Replacement hose for 280 cleaner
I purchased the Zodiac Polaris product due to the quality and positive reviews. It is more expensive than the generic ones but I've had a good experience using the OEM products. This did not include an inline filter, which I have on the old tubing. Reading some comments online, it is not required but does protect the Polaris cleaner from getting clogged, so I did cut the tubing and placed the filter near the wall attachment. I also had to use one float from my old tubing because of the 3ft recommendation to space the floats. I replaced the wall attachment unit with the pressure release valve, and it wasn't tighted enough resulting in water gushing from the valve into the pool. Once I realized it had to be tightened, it worked fine. Overall, it isn't getting tangled and seems to work well.

Polaris parts worth the cost
The Polaris replacement hose works perfectly. We will always buy certified Polaris replacement parts from now on. We tried a generic hose first because it was slightly less expensive but it didn’t work, Knotted up within minutes.

This is OEM "original equipment manufacture" hose, quality you paid for when buying the polaris new.
This worked perfect, I didn't install it, my pool guy did, he was very happy to see I chose to replace the original Polaris hose which lasted 13 years with this OEM Polaris replacement hose and not a cheap alternative. However, I supplied him a week earlier a Polaris alternative "not oem" rebuild kit which I personally had used in a rebuild 5 or 6 years ago, and he thought the quality of that kit was as good or better than the Polaris OEM rebuild kit at almost half the cost. Reading the reviews of alternative sweeper hose kits, was very mixed, while the Polaris are almost all positive. Mainly due to the OEM hose wall thickness, and the proper suppleness to untangle when necessary. The floats, do not fill with water they float. This hose is worth the extra $50 to $70.

Still gets twisted
This new hose still gets twisted, just not as much nor as tightly; old one would twist in 2 sections, this one only near the reversing valve. Easier to untwist this one as the hose is not as dry and brittle as my old one. I copied the length needed from my previous hose (probably 15 years old at least) by laying them both out side by side. I did add1 float as my previous one had more. Also, I used a valve I had purchased 6 months ago. Went together easily, with only a minute or less of warming w a hair dryer to push hose onto connectors. I did have to get neighbor man to unscrew from pool wall (old lady weak wrists). Cost is a lot less than the pool stores want. Fairly satisfied so far.

clean pool again
We had a quote from the pool store that was over double what we were able to find on Amazon. Just a little bit of assembly on our own and the pool is sparkling clean like it should be.

Avoid cheap Chinese hoses for your Polaris pressure cleaner!
The cheaper hoses aren't even close to the quality of this kit. Do yourself a favor and get the right part the first time. This factory kit, properly installed (look at the instructions, people) will solve the stiff/twisted hose tangling that happens after a few years and will last as long as the original. The cheaper ones are just that, cheap! If you can even get them to work it will be a twisted mess again the first winter. Pro Tip: stretch the hose out on the pool deck for a couple days begore installing it, especially in winter time, to straighten it out. Put a weight on each end and put a little tension on it. Will work wonders. Also, look at the diagram and install correctly using all 3 hose sections and swivels. This means you will make 3 cuts on most pools. DO NOT just remove a hose section to shorten it and throw it in the pool. If you do you'll be having issues again very quickly. Some smaller pools you can save one of the sections but still be sure to follow the diagram. Leader hose cut to depth of pool, then pull to farthest point and measure excess. Remove excess equally from each of the feed hoses. you should end up with the following Wall fitting-> ~8" hose -> Swivel -> X length hose with 3-4 floats -> swivel -> X length hose with 2-3 floats -> swivel -> Y (Depth) length hose with 1 float(2 if you add backup valve).
