Got this for our 3 yr old for Christmas and it was a slam dunk purchase! We’re into March now and he still plays with it daily! Lots of pieces so you can configure in so many ways!

It was expensive but... unlike other similar products, this comes with trains that can be controlled from your cellphone. So the boys made this really large track layout as they could drive the trains all over the place. Hours of fun. We also had some extra track and a few other additional pieces. They love this. The more room you have the better.

The media could not be loaded.  I would absolutely love this set if the trainwash/service station worked. I returned a complete set because there was no way to replace only the trainwash and this one doesn't work either. I searched and called for help but could not find assistance. This set is too expensive to have components that do not work!😣 What makes it worse is this is the part my grandson favors the most. It's brand new and does not work!

I was a little worried about this set because there’s a few negative reviews but our son absolutely loves it. He’ll be 3 in a few months and has been playing with it for hours every day since he got it for Christmas. Great buy.

I purchased this for my son after observing him play with a set in a childrens toy store. The toy itself is sturdy and high quality no risk of splinters from any of the tracks.He enjoys watching the trains move but even more so enjoys building the tracks. He enjoys the battery powered trains more that the manual ones. If you know your child will enjoy then it’s worth it. This has been his favorite toy since I purchased it a month ago.

It works very well! Brio really needs to inform customers that you need to HOLD DOWN the power for about 3-5 seconds for the train engine to turn on. You will know it is turned on when you hear the train say “Waa-hoo!” I promise that so many of these negative reviews could be solved by adding this part of the directions. The train definitely works, it’s just not clear how to turn it on, hence why I think there are so many negative reviews. My 6-year old has been loving this and playing with it non-stop.

The tunnels stopped working within an hour of play, taking batteries out resets it but stops working soon thereafter

This train is fabulous however it's Christmas Day and I put the batteries in and the engine won't work. I tried THREE new packs of batteries, definitely the train. Stinks because our four year old is beyond disappointed and we already have the track set up. Hopefully, customer service will just send us a new engine because breaking the track down now is not an option and this already put a dark cloud on Christmas morning. If you buy this, TEST the engine before you gift it. The rest of the train is well crafted and the track is fun!

Next to the other brands, this stands out in terms of quality and fit. The trains are nicer, the track is nicer, the storage bins are a nice touch. Got them on sale which took the sting out a little. Kid loves them, they make noises and they're programmable by Bluetooth. Also controllable by Bluetooth which is neat but useless for a 3 year old. Will provide years of entertainment

Wir haben schon mit unserem großen Sohn BRIO eingeführt (da war er gerade etwas über ein Jahr alt!). Denn natürlich liebt er Eisenbahnen und wir mögen die Firma, die einfach für Qualität steht, sehr. So kam ein Set zum anderen, zugegeben kombinieren wir diese auch gern mit Hape-Eisenbahn-Accessoires. Das ist übrigens problemlos möglich!Bei diesem Set hier musste ich nicht lang überlegen, abgesehen vom Preis, es war das Weihnachtsgeschenk für unseren Sohn, denn er liebt es, wenn die Bahn "zum Leben erwacht!" und mit diesem Set lebt das Wohnzimmer. An Weihnachten saßen also drei Generationen Männer und Frauen davor und bauten begeistert Strecken, probierten die einzelnen Sachen aus und waren total fasziniert, wie viele Highlights hier mitgeliefert wurden. Alleine schon die Boxen bei Brio sind super praktisch für die Aufbewahrung UND den sicheren Transport, wenn man mal was mitnehmen möchte um z.B. bei den Großeltern zu spielen.Alle Sachen sind in BRIO Qualität super verarbeitet, sehr solide und unser jüngster (etwas über 1) testet das wirklich sehr genau, was man abreißen oder demolieren kann. Hier hat er schlechte Karte. Ebenso gut ist der Sicherheitsfaktor: Verschlucken kann man hier nichts, d.h. beide Kinder können wirklich super damit spielen, ohne das wir Angst haben müssen, was bei vielen anderen Dingen leider nicht so ist! Im Set enthalten sind viele tolle Sachen, die man auch teils schon aus anderen kennt, z.B. Bauernhof, Frachtladestation, Bäume, Brücken, Verkehrsschilder, Tunnel, Weichen, div. Holzschienen ABER eben diese ganz wichtigen Features, die zur neuen Smart Tech Serie zählen (insg. 91 Teile, also echt üppig und vor allem viele Schienen!):- Eine LOK, die mit 2 AAA Batterien (nicht enthalten) ins Leben gerufen wirdUnd dann wird es interaktiv. Sie reagiert dann mit versch. Bewegungen, Licht oder Soundaktionen auf die mitgelieferten Smarmt Tech Sound Sachen im Set:- Waschstraße mit Werkstatt- div. Actiontunnel und BergtunnelAußerdem fand ich es sehr schön, dass auch weitere Züge und Fahrzeuge mitgeliefert werden, nicht nur die interaktive Lok. Hat man nämlich grad mal keine Batterien im Haus oder die Batterie ist leer, kann das Kind noch auf etwas anderes zurückgreifen. Spielspaß hoch 10 - auch schon für jüngere Kinder als 3. Ich finde der Spaß ist schon ab 1.5 gegeben, wie ich es gerade wieder bei unserem Jüngsten sehe. Er kann schon die Schienen prima zusammenstecken und fährt seine Bahn gerne händisch über die "Gleise" - Volle Kaufempfehlung. Ich muss ich grad selbst bremsen, weil das Spielen so viel Spaß macht, nicht noch viel mehr Zubehör zu kaufen, aber das ist immer was für die nächste Geburtstagsliste!Die App Funktion haben wir nicht getestet, sie war für uns eher ein Contra, da die Kinder schon genug mit Smartphone und Co in Kontakt kommen. Hier kann ich daher leider keine angaben machen. Über die App kann man wohl eigene Geräusche aufnehmen, die die Lok abspielen kann.Wir haben den Kauf nicht bereut und würden es immer wieder verschenken, wir freuen uns das Set jetzt immer erweitern zu können.

Bought for Christmas and my boy loves it! It works well and looks good! Only downside is how long it took me to set it up, felt like building Ikea chest of draws. But well worth it :)
