SRAM PC X01 Eagle Hollow Pin 126 Links Power Lock 12-Speed Chain - Black/Black

I bought this chain following a recommendation of my mechanic after complaining about the durability of GX and X01 chains.I have a Specialized Epic and use it for XC racing and light trail. It came equipped with a GX chain, which I later replaced by other Eagle chains to test. Wear was measured with a chain tool and the durability was as follows.GX chains - Lasted about 1000 km before reaching 0.5 percent wearX01 chain - Lasted about 1200 kmXX1 - Still using it. So far, I have ridden 2000 km with it and it has not reached the 0.5 percent wearI use an X01 cassette. My rides are a mix of dry and wet conditions and I usually clean the drivetrain once a week.

There is no way this product is a new Sram chain. A link snapped on my first ride. The packaging was suspect when it arrived but I assumed it was just dinged up from shipping. Now my rear derailleur and cassette are gouged where the broken chain hit.

It depends on how often you ride, but these 12spd SRAM chains wear out pretty quick. A worn out chain can cause all sorts of other troubles, including premature drive-train wear on other components.When I replaced my original chain after a year, the worn chain was almost a full link longer from wear!I think it's important to note that Park Tool chain checkers are not really accurate on these chains either. The best way to check your chain is to grab it and pull it laterally to see how much play it has. If you can pull it further than an 1.5", it's definitely time for replacement!

These chains work amazing and never break like the older style.

Not an inexpensive chain but this bad boy gets the job done! Thin enough to allow my granny gear the room it needs and strong enough to handle the mega watts I crank out on the way to the top. Bonus that they offer it in black for those of us that might shy away from rainbow or gold. This chain grinds year round in the PNW be it rain, snow, mud or the 5 dry days of riding we get each year.

After 6k miles including Leadville, XC races and interval training, time for a new chain. Totally shocked how long these chains last! The X01 chains are the same w a lesser price but the coating rubs off quick vs XX1 chains. They stay shiny much longer.

Ich weiß ja nicht, was mir Amazon da geschickt hat, aber schwarz sieht bei mir anders aus.Ob das überhaupt ein Original ist? Montagsprodukt? Gebraucht?Wie auch immer, so ein "abgewetztes" Teil muss retour gehen.

Optisch schlägt sie die GX Kette um Längen ohne übertrieben auffällig zu sein wie die goldenen und Oil-Slick Varianten. Wenn der Verschleiß noch geringer ausfällt, wie häufig im Netz umworben, werde ich sie wohl standardmäßig fahren.
