this brand is great for my acne and the moisturizer is super thick. very good for dry skin and doesnt have any smell so also good for sensitive skin

My dermatologist prescribed this product several years ago before it was available for purchase without a prescription. At the time, I used it for about a month, but then I discontinued it because it was SOOOOOO Expensive at the time (Over $200 after my insurance.) Because I did not use it long enough, I never saw any benefits from it. It's true that you have to use it for 3 months before seeing the benefit. To start, I would use it twice a week and then slowly increase frequency as your skin tolerates the medicine. This DOES cause your skin to break out more before it gets better. To combat this, I used it only on a small portion of my face (example, my chin only) for a couple weeks, then slowly expanded (chin + forehead) to ensure that I wasn't breaking out everywhere all at once as my skin acclimated. My dermatologist told me that now I am used to it, that I should use it every day if possible. This has CHANGED MY SKIN!!!! I a 40 years old and have had acne over 30 years. I used to never leave the house without makeup. After using this product for 3 months, I no longer wear makeup AT ALL! I just use a quick mascara and a lipstick, and my skin is BEAUTIFUL!!!! I do recommend using a moisturizer directly after applying and twice a day, as this product can temporarily cause dryness. I do like the differin moisturizer. I recommend using a LOT of the moisturizer. I plan to use this product every day for the rest of my life. IT WORKS!!!!

The history: I have been using Differin acne gel for around 4 months and it completely dried out my skin. I didn't have acne, but used it for tiny red bumps caused by rosacea. While it completely eliminated the rosacea so my skin was perfectly clear, it left my skin flaky beyond all reasoning. No matter how much lotion I used, even oils (coconut, etc.) my face was constantly peeling and flaky. It was noticeable and made me look older:( I tried hardcore lotions (amalactin, butters, etc.) and they all just made my face oily-looking but still flaky. This moisturizer: After a day of using it my face already is normal. My skin looks alive again, and youthful. Well, as youthful as you can be at 35 ;) I can put this on a few minutes before applying my makeup in the morning, and it doesn't make my face powder go on clumpy or splotchy. Or, after I put on makeup I can put it on top and it doesn't mess anything up. I don't use foundation, only powder, so I can't testify for foundation. This does not make you oily, shiny, or sticky. Within a minute of putting it on it dries silky. I'm really happy I found something to fix my snake skin that was caused from Differin ;) The attached picture is how my skin looks from using differin acne gel, and this moisturizer. You would never know I used to have terrible rosacea that gave me red bumps all over, right?

I have SUPER sensitive skin (soo many moisturizers make my skin turn red, or react with a burning sensation). I've been using this product every other night (I use a retinol product on the other nights) and it has been so soothing and amazing. I don't find that it clogs my pores, but I also exfoliate regularly, so maybe people who are having that issue aren't exfoliating. I do think if I used this during the day, my skin might look greasy, but I use a different moisturizer (+SPF) during the day, so I don't mind that my skin might look a little "over-moisturized" when going to bed. Overall, I wake up with plump, clear, calm, and moisturized skin every morning after I use this! Highly recommend!

I love, love, love this moisturizer! It's thick and greasy enough to actually moisturize & UNSCENTED! I use liquid foundation and this face cream keeps my skin from flaking. I've been looking for this kind of moisturizer forever & the only thing that's ever come close is from the Honest company but even that dries up pretty quickly. I use this in the morning and by afternoon my face is still not dry and flaking. If you've been using or are planning to use the Differin gel & face wash, this is a MUST HAVE!

My daughter was prescribed the line of Differin for her acne. Its the only thing that cleared up her skin as a teenager. I bought this and the night time cream for my face to be used after washing. It goes on really well, has a nice smooth consistency to it with no scent. However, it seems to just sit on top of my skin without absorbing. It leaves a sticky film on my face which I hate. Ive had no problems with break out of acne or a rash. My face is super sensitive. I will continue to use the product until its gone because I don't want to waste it and be out the money. I won't purchase it again.

My face is extremely sensitive. We're talking bright red, peeling skin- even from products that claim to not cause sensitivity. But this actually soothes my face! I started incorporating this into my skincare routine (I mostly use Korean skin care products and loosely follow a 10 step routine) when I started using differin gel for my adult acne and noticed my skin was getting extremely dry and irritated despite my other products. I was watching a recommendation video from a dermatologist on youtube, and she said this product was great. I figured for the price I would give it a try, and I'm so glad I did! It is a little thick, which could be a problem if you have oily skin, but for how much it helps my angry skin I still give it five stars. It also absorbs pretty well after a while, I just have to give it a little time. Overall, I definitely recommend trying this product and I will be purchasing more in the future!

I am at week 5 of my different treatment and I'm finally seeing some results. This is not a quick fix! I have had severe acne for 30 years and though I have gotten some relief from various treatments my skin is still bad. After using this for five weeks I'm finally seeing some results. My skin look smoother and definitely having fewer breakouts. The breakouts that I am having are going away much faster. I'm going to stick with this product for the full 12 weeks to see my results and we'll check in at that point with photographs. Know that this is not a spot treatment! It is for all overuse one time per day. You will be seeing some breakthrough acne as well as dryness. Don't Panic just keep going! If my skin is twice as good at 10 weeks as it is right now I will be really happy. Will update soon

Was initially going to return, it is quite sticky after applying. Found it works best in conjuction with other products that are drying to the skin. (Benzagel or salicylic acid)

My girlfriend 70 yars old became looks like a girl 20+! Maybe because I drink this cream too often, and overestimated doses?
