Mirari Portable Night-Light - Terry the Tiger

Love it. I've had it for about 4 days. I like the multiple light color choices. The green and blue are the softest glow which I prefer. The yellow is probably the strongest glow but this is a night light and is not bright enough to read. I can't fall asleep in complete darkness and wanted something that can go right next to me on the bedside table. This is perfect. Right size and right glow intensity just for me. I plan on taking it with me on my next business trip. It'll definitely help with getting me to fall asleep faster at hotels. It's also a really cute tiger. Out of all the animal choices, I think this is the cutest. It turns off on its own or you can push the button that sets the glow color to turn it off manually. I'm not sure how long the battery will last. I'll edit this when it does to give a good estimate. Update 12/6/2015: I changed the batteries today for the first time since I started using it. I should have actually changed it 4 months ago since the light wasn't staying on for 30 mins anymore. Felt more like 10-15 mins that it was staying on. And I also couldn't rotate between the colors. Figured it was because the batteries were dying out. I was too lazy to get a screwdriver to change the batteries but finally did it today. With new batteries, I'm able to rotate through the colors again and I suspect it'll last 30 mins again before the light automatically turning off. Still very happy with purchase.

So this is a very good night light. My main objection is that it is too bright for a portable battery powered night light. Would work best on a dresser out of reach. Problem is kids love them and take them into bed and I feel it's too bright for something right in their face (and super bright light is not great for sleep). So it is a 5 star item, but just gets 4 stars as in practice it is not quite perfect.

Very cute! Bought it for my 3 year old because she is afraid of the dark. She knows how to turn it on, and choose her favorite color- pink. It helps her drift to sleep. It has also taken a few very hard falls. My daughter was obsessed with it so she was playing with it and placing it on very high platforms such as the table or kitchen counter top. Still works fine!

This item is really not a good product for little hands. I believe there was an older version of this product that sat on a stand that plugged into the wall and would stay on all night. Additionally the older product (as I understood it) could be lifted off the stand and it would go to batter op automatically. This product only stays on for 30 minutes and after that, if your child grabs it to go to the bathroom or because they are scared at night, they have to find a small button on the bottom of the nightlight to turn it on. I don't know about other parents, but if my kid is trying to get to the bathroom at night or, worse yet, is scared, I don't want them having to scrounge around in the dark to find this nightlight and then find the tiny button on the bottom to turn it on. Very disappointed. Furthermore, when I went to return the item, the seller has no option to state a complaint and automatically charges buyer for postage --- which is HALF OF THE COST OF THE PRODUCT.

Very very cute. But so small. And light is not serious. Shoulda cost no more than $5

Very cute but not practical for night light if you want an actual light on for the ENTIRE night. Auto shut-off means having to find it in the dark and turn it on. For small kids, that means the parents are called in to do it. Not the plan.

Fabulous! We have tried two other children's night lights and this one is hands don the star of the show! One of the former had a charging base which was a pain (plug and cable to keep away from toddler and eventually broke), the other whizzed through batteries. We've had this 3 months and have not yet needed to change the batteries. I wanted a light which could be left on all night, but this is so simple to use even my 16 month old can turn it on so I don;t worry about that anymore. My 3.5 year old can operate all the functions easily. The light is made from a nice material, it doesn't feel brittle (important when young children are the primary users) and it gives off the right amount of light for a kids who is anxious about the dark, without lighting up the room.

I used to use an ipod with a color changing dock when my daughter was an infant, but as she got older, she didn't need the music and she needed something not too bright so it wouldn't distract her from going to sleep. This is a GEM! It's the perfect brightness and there are multiple color choices. It's also simple enough for her to work all by herself, and light so she can carry it around.

Cant imagine my life without him:) used since day 1 my dd was born. Doesnt wake her up at night

works well and still works after a year (or 2)
