The DS18 tweeters are an excellent stock replacement for the 2022 Tacoma. While I am not an audiophile, I found the factory tweeters in my 2022 Tacoma Sport (with the 8-inch non-JBL head unit) disappointing. I sought a sound upgrade without installing a new head unit or amplifier, and these tweeters delivered. These speakers are noticeably louder and brighter than the stock paper tweeters. The DS18s are plug-and-play and straightforward to install, taking approximately one hour. For those seeking an affordable sound upgrade, I recommend installing these tweeters first. Adjust the fade bias two clicks toward the front from center, then evaluate the difference. The improvement is substantial. Highly recommended.

Nice little upgrade. Everything I read about these tweeters is true. The only additional suggestion I would make is to get yourself a set of offset wrenches it makes taking out the bolt closest to the windshield so much easier. Other than that they work great and you can definitely hear the highs on your music. Everything sounds so much better. Would absolutely recommend these. Installation took about 15mins total for both on my 2023 Toyota Tacoma.

Fit my 2005 Tacoma without any issues. Definitely an upgrade over the previous tweeters I had installed. Since I already had aftermarket tweeters, I just used the two wires that came on the tweeters and spliced them in. Awesome value for the money! Teamed them with DS18 Components and crossovers, along with a Soundstream amp.

WOW! Works too well on 2026 Subaru Forester base model (comes without tweeters but has the wiring) I usually turn up my treble to max but with these tweeters it was way too much (almost painful) and I had to turn it down. It plugs right up. I used double sided tape and a washer to secure one side since the tweeters were a little short from the stock holes. Getting to the stock wiring under the tweeter covers and unplugging them from the female end was a bear! This is the biggest difference I've ever made to any car stereo. It woke up and brightened up the whole sound system to the extreme! I now listen to my music at literally half of my usual volume. You will need a stubby right angled screwdriver to use the supplied screws. Wow, just WOW! Update: Even after adjusting all of the audio settings I decided to return these. To my ears they were just way too loud and it overpowered the whole stock sound system.

Can confirm these fit perfectly and are plug and play with the stock harness on a 5th Gen 4runner without the JBL system. Now sound is subjective, but i didn’t notice a night and day difference. My stock speakers always sounded slightly muffled and not clear with both radio and bluetooth audio. These speakers improved it ever so slightly. Still muffled but a bit clearer. No amount of EQ adjusting did much. I do notice bass hits a bit harder and cleaner on the same bass setting i had before. I think the reviews made it seem like a huge improvement, unfortunately for my ears it only improved slightly. I plan to still keep these, because after you remove the stock tweeters and inspect them, they’re a joke. Temporary fix until I’m able to pull the trigger on a complete audio replacement. Quick tip: had trouble removing the stock tweeters from the mounting bracket. It’s screwed on super tight. Had to use an impact driver will break it loose. After that install is a breeze.

Excellent speakers! Sound and function are excellent. I used these speakers for a 2017 Toyota Highlander. 4 pin wire connector fit perfectly. However, the frame/mounting holes are different than the Highlander. They were short but left the hole exposed. As a fix, I simply added a larger washer and pinned down the frame to the mount on the dash. Worked perfectly with a simple fix.

I have a toyota tacoma 2020. I upgraded all the door speakers with nvx and a 10in sub by ct sound. It made a difference but I needed better highs. So i bought these DS18'. Took 20min to install them plug and play. Man oh man they are loud and crystal clear. Everything sounds amazing. This set of tweeters was money well spent.

They sound way better the. Factory speaker I enjoy the sound .

... And it's a world of difference vs. Stock. Play "The National Anthem" by Radio head before and after. *mind blown*!

Excellent upgrade to stock Tacoma tweeters. All you have to do is connect red to red and black to black from the old harness to the new tweeter and that’s all. Sound upgrade is quite amazing and job was super easy to do.

These were easy to put in my 3rd gen Tacoma, plug and play, though the plug is 180 degrees rotated vs the factory ones, should not put too much stress on the wiring harness though. The treble was much more pronounced after install, things in music like bells and high notes are shiny and bright, I'm very happy.
