GTN-521 Garden Tractor/Snowblower Net/Diamond Style Alloy Tire Chains 4.00-4, 4.10-6, 13x4.00-6

Installed on a Craftsman 24" wide snowblower with 13x4.00-6 tires pretty easily. They could be tighter out of the package but that is the nature of chains designed to fit a range of tire sizes and not a knock on Grlizzlers manufacturing or design. No real issues getting them on my tires or with the instructions, they were easy to follow and showed what to do clearly at each step of the way.I did make two tweaks to my set- I cut off the excess links (sized to fit multiple tires) once happy with fit to make installation easier and prevent the excess chain from flopping around. I also removed the original rubber tensioner hook and replaced it with the Grizzler GSL-20025 tensioner with 1 extra hook (piece of chain link with a slot carved into it) to balance the tension between the 5 sections of chain on my set.For a couple of extra dollars they are worth it over the included tensioner as they do a lot better job of keeping the chains tight all the way around the tire. Along with being a cleaner looking install as well with less stuff crossing over/under/around.Don't do any of these tweaks until you're comfortable with the fit as it renders them yours forever. I personally have no plans to return mine, beyond satisfied with them as they make the snowblower unstoppable in ice and deep snow. No more getting shoved around at the edge of the driveway by the ice blocks in the plow curl for me.

I purchased these to use on my Ariens snowblower; it uses 13x4.00-6 tires.This time of year we get a fair bit of ice in the frozen hinterlands of the US. I was finding my tires fighting for grip when the snow was on top of the ice.I had to wire these to get a tight fit so they would stay on. This didn't really take much time and since my tire was the smallest they say it will fit it seems fair... I just used an old wire coat hanger (us Scot's have an unfair reputation for being cheap...) It took me maybe an extra ten minutes (after first fail) to get them to stay in place.So far I think they help with the ice traction and also with 'packed snow' traction.Time will tell how they wear longer term. I will update if they fail prematurely. The tires fitted have a very aggressive tread, I don't know if that is an issue? So far I haven't noticed a reduction in traction with 'light fluffy' snow.

It seems these chains can fit a few other similar sized tires and as such, didn’t fit really snugly at first. So it requires some fidgeting and rigging to get these on tightly. In fact, after installing and using for the first time, I returned snowblower to garage only to notice after parking it, that one chain was loose. No idea how that happened but reinstalled them with more tension and they seem to be okay now.

These fit really well on my 13X4.10X6 tires on my snow blower. They were easy to put on. I would have given 5 stars but haven't used them in the WV snow and ice yet.

My wheel was on the extreme side of small, so it is a little off center, but works fine.It is noticeably better, and as assumed eliminated wheel slip.It now takes less time, and I'm not all worn out from pushing the blower.They include what I think are safety wires, but no mention in the directions.A good grade of duct tape is a better choice to insure the chains don't come undone.

I've been using a Poulan Pro PR624ES two-stage blower for a few years, and though it works great, I found I had to wrestle with it in particularly slick or deep snow. I bought and installed these chains and now have all the traction I could ask for. The difference in traction is dramatic, and I no longer have back and shoulder pain from having to fight the blower when it's spinning out. If you do much snow removal with a snow blower, you should really invest in a set of chains like this.

Einziges Manko, Größenbestimmung in den Übersichten auf der Webside ist unübersichtlich. Eine Tabelle wäre hilfreicher.Habe deshalb auch die falsche Größe erwischt.

in sehr sehr kurzer Zeit nach der Bestellung bereits montiert und im Einsatz, muss sagen einfach nur Top bin von der abwicklung und Lieferzeit einfach begeistert.allgemein zu den Arktikel die richtige Größe passt genau, zum Material kann noch nichts sagen Thema Rost und Verschleiß usw…
