Puppies loved this milk. I substitute for their mom's milk since my dog had 8 puppies.

I purchased this just in case my mama would have had issues feeding her puppies when she gave birth. Fortunately we did not have issues so instead i used this formula to mix into ground up kibble for when the puppies got a few weeks old to start the weening process. It has worked out perfect!

Update: The PetAg company stepped up and replaced all the cans. They sent a label for returning all unopened cans. They went above and beyond what I was asking. Thank you PetAg for the great customer service. Very disappointed to receive 18 cans of expired milk. The date printed on can is upside down and backwards but it is 1/2023. This was purchased to save newborn puppies who lost their mom from parvo/K9-Herpes/Distemper. We also received donated milk from our supporters, that was expired and chunky with same date. We are a very tiny animal rescue who cannot afford to lose the $120.00 spent on expired milk. This item is not returnable, refundable or replaceable.

My dog abandoned her puppies, and I had to become mommy to the last surviving one. I started bottlefeeding him on his second day alive. I had to get up every two hours and feed him with an eyedropper for the first few weeks and then I kept feeding it to him until he started eating solid food at 10 weeks old. He is a very healthy, beautiful blood hound puppy now. This product never made him sick and made him gain weight appropriately gave him all the nutrients that he needed to become a very healthy beautiful puppy.

I love that fact I was able to get this milk for my rejected puppies. It does give the pups diarrhea. I would love to find this milk in a larger quantity the pups go though a can a day and a little bit cheaper. But I now have thriving pups.

This is a good brand that I’m familiar with and I wanted to have some on hand just in case. We had a large litter and even with a very doting Mom dog it was good to be able to provide this topper for the odd pup who sometimes got short changed at feeding time. I don’t overly like the smell but it isn’t made for my consumption. The pups enthusiastically enjoyed it and even the big dogs were trying to get some. This is specifically formulated for puppies needs and digestive system. It is the next best choice to mothers milk for their first few weeks.
