An unusable product, and lousy support. Steer clear.
I had high hopes for these products but sadly they both failed to measure up. Support does not appear to be very good either, and if you don’t want to read any further, I’ll sum it up for you: don’t buy this product.First, the camera. Video quality is amazing, the colors are dead-on accurate, and the remote is great. I traded up from a 3X zoom conference room camera and was looking forward to the 10X zoom and a few extra features. Unfortunately, the instructions are horrible – for example, I had to figure out that you had to press two buttons in sequence to store a preset. The on-screen camera menu for configuring the unit is in Chinese and I could not find a way to change the language. I asked the seller and they promised “we will send you the pictures of the setup steps through the Amazon backend. Correspondingly, it can be set to English. thanks.” That’s the last I heard from them; a week later I have no instructions. Similarly, there are DIP switches on the bottom of the unit for doing something. I don’t know what; again, the label is in Chinese. When I asked about that they ignored me. If you were setting this up with video conferencing equipment, you’d be DOA unless you can read Chinese.Another problem that developed is that, after about 30 minutes of use the camera goes out of focus. It did this on both Zoom and Teams calls in varying lighting conditions that other cameras had no issues with. The manual focus buttons won’t bring it back into focus, and the autofocus simply stopped working. The only way to fix the focus is to power the unit down and power it up again. Then it comes back into excellent focus before drifting off again. Perhaps this is just a problem with my unit, but given the horrible documentation and non-existent support, I can’t recommend this. The conference microphone is very full-featured and has lots of options but sounds awful. It is worse than the cheap on-board microphone on my laptop, and I went back to my Yeti Blue microphone which, even in omnidirectional mode, sounds head and shoulders above this one. Given the poor sound quality, I didn’t bother testing it further. My advice is to steer clear. If the manufacturer contacts me again, swaps the unit out, and explains how to set the menus to English (and the DIP switch settings), I will revise this review. But given these products are both unusable as-is, I can’t give them more than a single star. You have been warned!
