It's exactly what it looks like, works well and photo transfer is pretty quick, even in large volumes. I like it and will continue to use it for a while! I also love that they put in the listing how to find it on your phone, that's super helpful adn self-aware.

This adapter is an excellent product for downloading files. Works like a charm with no issues at all. I used it for downloading an audiobook set of 8 DVD’s that I’d copied onto a USB memory card. I then simply plugged the USB into the adapter, and the adapter into my wife’s iPhone’s lightning port. Followed easy instructions included that were kindergarten simple for even a 65 year old! The 1.2GB file was copied within 30 seconds and now she can listen to the audiobook when she’s on a walk via her AirPods. All for just $10? What an amazing piece of technology!

It works for its purpose and that is to usb connect to a digital transport that spidf's out into an external DAC. My only worry is that the lightning port section of the connector gets warm. Not sure if that's normal or if its safe in the long run.

I teach online GED classes and use my iPad for pulling up documents in class. I have to scan them in and save to a flashdrive and needed to be able to get them onto my tablet. I purchased this adapter so I could plug the flashdrive in and then plug this adapter into my iPad. Then I am able to pull up my files to use in class. My iPad saves when I make changes. I used it 4 days a week for about 10 months. It does flop around when it's plugged in, and it eventually got so my tablet couldn't read the flashdrive when it was plugged in with the adapter. I think some of the wires broke in the wiring. It was a good product while it was good except for it flopping around more than I'd have liked.

The first unit apparently was defective/did not work at all. I texted the seller's customer service and tried their additional instructions to determine it was dead. The seller's CSR immediately got my delivery info and sent me a replacement that works as promoted.

I bought this product to transfer photos and videos from my iPhone to a USB drive. I understand that you can’t transfer large amounts at once with this adapter, especially without an external power source. However, once it displays the message “Unable to Share,” it begins crashing repeatedly and becomes unusable.

It’s quite helpful in offloading bulky videos from an iPhone. Only constraint is transferring multiple files may stop intermittently. So better xfer files one by one.

I am using it to connect external USB sticks for extra storage with my iPad. Works a treat.
