Orac DecorCX189-SAMP CX189 Crown Moulding, 4 Inch Sample, White

Very happy to find this trim piece to install led light strips. Thanks to previous reviews, I purchased 3/4” metal tape (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B078HWK9MX?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details ) and applied it prior to install, then did all my cutting. Worked perfectly and looks great. I choose to paint it and it was also easy to paint.

Lightweight. Durable. Too much light transference through material.

I was putting up some tape lights in my office and these were a reasonably priced way to do that. Easy to cut, easy to glue, and easy to paint to match the wall.

These moulding are easy to install. Orac is always top quality!But after we finished them with two coats of paint and caulk and installed the LED strips in them. The glow of the lights was coming trough the mouldings. We applied anther two coats of paints but it was still coming trough. It would be better to cover the inside of the moulding with black paint or like we did now put black electrical tape on the inside. That was not easy since they were already up on the wall.

A bit pricey but this is the only option for exterior patio uplighting options for a cove system that will be immune to humidity, etc.

This stuff provided a great base for LED light strips. It is a little floppy, so be careful when adhering it to your surface. It is able to be cut with a sub $20 miter box and hand saw. I like that it is a single piece solution rather than a nailer/spacer/crown moulding stack up like you would do with traditional millwork. LED lights will shine through this. Use metallic duct tape or something else if you do not want the LED glow to shine through this.
