The theme for my 42nd birthday was time.

I purchased this hour glass for looks only. Not as a timer. I bought the gold and it is really pretty. The design is simple and looks great. It is the perfect size for the area.

I love this hourglass. It’s accurate and a full 10 inches high.

I have purchased a few of these over the last 2 years. Most have been great but the last one seemed to be a little EXTRA fragile.I build an old style hourglass housing around them, both for protection and to make them look unique. The last one I assembled shattered in a perfectly round, hole at the end as I attempted to put the housing together.I suppose they're usually good, since I haven't had problems with the rest of them, just be careful since I suppose this isn't terribly uncommon.After all, they are glass.

As described. Well packed, came without damage. I was worried it'd be wobbly given we live in an earthquake state, but it's fine. I'd buy more if seller has other color sand such as powder blue, etc.
