I read quite a few reviews on this case and someone mentioned they hated it cause it was thick and bulky and not slim like advertised. Well no this case is not the super slim type, but those for the most part offer no real drop protection like most snap on plastic or silicone cases. However if you are comparing it to a hybrid case or the otterbox defender or commuter it IS slimmer, and around the same size as some dual layer (hard plastic with silicone layer. I would say it is slightly slimmer than many "military" cases that have the built in ring on the back, or the ones with a front that snaps on. Some one else said that (and showed photos) that the blue one was not true to color and was more of a "Toyota Camry blue." I wanted to test that but then wasn't sure which blue they were referring to since there is a Cobalt Blue and just a blue. So going with the lighter shaded one, the Cobalt I ordered it and well, it looks exactly as shown (in my photos). So I can't speak as to the color inaccuracy, but they should change the name because it's more of a navy vs what most people consider cobalt. The silicone portion of the Cobalt one is definitely more of a navy, but I think it looks good. I also have the mint green colored one and it looks the same as photo as well. As far as coverage is concerned, it's kinda odd that the protection for the camera is higher than for the screen, I think they should be the same, I think they should have taken some of the protection from the back and added it around the screen, but I digress. The back part attaches pretty firmly and I've dropped a few times and it hasn't come off. The texture of plastic part is very similar to otterbox commuter or symmetry, just slightly textured doesn't show fingerprints and offers adequate grip. It has a pretty good protection for a good price, the build quality is on par as well. I would buy more if they had more colors and maybe a few patterns as well, but all in all I would recommend.

My hubby loves this phone case. He said it protects well and the color is great. Very durable and does not look cheap

The case is super sturdy which is good. Looks exactly as pictured.The downside is that the buttons for the volume are so messed up. If I try to turn the volume up, it often gets stuck and shoots it all the way up or it won't move it all. I'm thinking of just cutting the area out so I can actually use it as normal.

The OtterBox case my fiancé used with her phone finally developed a crack and snapped off the corner plastic by the camera after two years. I wanted to buy her the exact same case, but OtterBox no longer makes it.This NTG version is a perfect replacement! Great fit and finish! Haven't dropped it yet, but it definitely feels just as sturdy as the OtterBox. Very nice!

This is a sturdy case. I have dropped my phone several times and never damaged the screen or camera. I would 100% buy this case again!

It fit really well on my phone and its not too thick

2 layer protection, tpu covered with a hard outer shell, which is shiny and a but slippery which lose it a star. Great fit. No ithers about like this anymore as the phone is 3 years old so buying was a no brainer. There are cheaper ones about but none of this type.
