Inexpensive Auto / Super Sharp / Pocket clip backwards / Inexpensive...
If youre looking for a small auto for 'everyday' use like opening mail / boxes / etc or whatever else where you dont care about the blade, this is a neat little knife and its cheap. Being this cheap, the build and blade quality is, well, cheap. I really like this knife but I use it to open boxes and mail myself. The instant open and click sound is satisfying. Probably not the best idea but I also use this as a stress ball / fidget spinner while working/talking on the phone. As far as the build you get what you pay for. I like grip (sand paper like) and the size but the blade doesnt stay straight while folded unless you tweak the screws just right and after a few uses, you have to re-tweak. I put some weapons shield (doesnt eat plastic/polymers) on it for lube which made it smoother. I own dozens of cheap blades and while they all start off sharp, most dull after a dozen or so boxes. This thing so far continues to be 'be careful' sharp. Ive not used it on wires or wood or anything but its my goto letter / box opener. My biggest complain is the pocket clip. Its backwards or upside down doesnt matter if youre right or left handed. Its not a pull it out and open it up knife you have to flip twist open when pulling it out of your pocket. Not a deal breaker if its a letter opener. This is probably my favorite 'toy' letter opener but thats about it.

Convenient and reliable
This is the perfect small pocket knife. It's well made, sturdy and convenient. The blade is incredibly sharp. I like being able to access knife and engage blade with one hand while holding object I need knife for. The safety also great feature.

Solid pocket knife!
Really nice knife. Assisted opening works really well. The material on the side allows for a firm non-slip grip. The only think I don’t like is the direction of the lock. When it’s in your pocket you have a good chance of unlocking it and the chance of it opening. I know this from experience.

Good knife, bad price.
This Smith & Wesson knife is definetly high quality when it comes right out of the package. Has a very sharp blade, very rough grip, and a super quiet opening system. I was so excited when I first got the knife but I was still sceptical about the pricing, and rightfully so. The knife has dulled considerably after only little over a month and with few uses. The grip has become less rough and the clip on the knife less stiff, both resulting in the knife occasionally falling off my belt (not good in many situations) and having the knife fall out of my hands (also very dangerous). I have been around and used many different knives and there are some I would reccomend over this Smith & Wesson for their price and quality. I personally like Buck knives better. Their sharpness has lasted longer for me and their rubber grips don't tend to wear as fast as this sand-paper grip. I will point out a VERY redeeming quality of the Smith & Wesson SWAT knife: The opening is so quiet and easy to use you can barely hear it. I love this feature and the safety latch. BOTTOM LINE: If this knife was $5-10 cheaper I would likely buy another in the future.

I get the point with this knife. 😏
I bought this for my boyfriend, who absolutely loved it. Then he handed it to me to try, and I will probably get one of my own. Nice knife, spring assist is perfect.

Good size for pocket
Good size for pocket, but a bit light and slippery. Too expensive unless you really need to carry an easy opening very small knife. I don't, but I am sort of collecting the assisted opening knives for fun, which they all have been. For the price this really should have been a little more substantial with better grips.

A Great Knife!
I highly recommend this knife. The release is faster and easier than any other assisted opening knife I've ever seen. It is as close to a fully automatic knife as you can get and still be legal. This one is quite small which makes it a great knife to carry with you everyday in any pocket. If your looking for a larger knife, consider the medium or large. I really like the look of the all black model and like all the S&W's, it arrives extremely sharp.
