Very good dictionary for kids

（星５つの理由）紙で出来た辞書で、これだけの内容は素晴らしいと思いました。（気に入った点）全５点①作りはしっかりしており、構成がシンプル、全体的に落ち着きがある。②内容・写真類も豊富なのに窮屈感が無い。③説明がシンプルである。（子供向けという意味ではない。日本の和英辞書にある、まどろこしい説明ではなく、「核」をついた説明である。）④紙の「テカリ」も少なく、照明の反射も特に気にならない。⑤英語圏の人達の視点・感じ方を理解できる。（気に入らなかった点）全１点①仕方のない事だが、内容・写真類の充実、文字を大きくすると、本自体が大きく重くなる。（どんな人にお薦め！）受験の為、英語を学ぶ人には必要ありません。最終的に英語で会話をしたい人、英語圏の人達の視点・感じ方を学びたい人にお薦めです。

重くしっかりとした写真が豊富な辞書です。基本単語で語彙を説明しているので、わかりやすい。現地の子供の常識であろう動植物の単語が網羅されていて参考になる。

My 6yr old reads well above her grade level but sometimes doesn't understand the meaning to the word she is reading, we we got her this dictionary to help her with comprehension. She likes it and is able to easily find words she is looking for. There are nice pictures and examples. This is a great dictionary for kids that are reading beginning chapter books and beyond.

Greatest children's dictionary ever! I have twin 8 year old boys that I homeschool and looking up words in the dictionary is a very difficult skill to master. This dictionary makes the challenge achievable. The pages are thicker than a regular dictionary making it much easier to handle, the font is much larger, all the definitions are written in an easy to read format. Great color, great pictures, contains all the words in our vocabulary curriculum - We couldn't be more pleased!
