One of the few kitchen gadgets I bought that actually works. Just center it on the jar lid, push the button. It helps if you hold the jar steady.

I am normally disappointed with most companies that do business in Amazon market place. This is a company you can trust. I had a jar that was really difficult. this machine would not give up. It broke an arm. I ended up using a very large channel lock pliers to open that jar. The company was very good about replacing the opener. And this one also works like a champ.
