This is a tea with good caffeine content, unlike your average tea which has only negligible amounts of it. Now, this does not mean that it loses it's essence or character because of it. TISOW Select Assam has two types of tea in its packet- Upper Assam & North Bank. Both have strong flavor & color. Really I like the flavor, Tea is strong and has good taste, I have tried many brands but this brand becomes my favorite one bcoz of its taste and color. For the purpose of making milk tea, this particular brand is quite good: have a strong combination of good color definitely pleasing fragrance, and taste that make you fall in love with this tea. Simply loved the product packaging which keeps the tea fresh. They have used vaccum packing and also includes a zip lock bag to store the tea powder fresh for a longer duration. The quality is superb and the aroma is refreshing. I pair the tea usually with rusk but it tastes yum with Butter Biscuits too. A must try for tea lovers!

If you are searching for a tea with robust flavour, great taste and aroma, then your search ends here. I was pleasantly surprised by how strong the tea was with just 1 teaspoon of tea. So it is better to start with a lesser amount than your usual blend, if you are trying this out for the first time. You can have it black or add milk as I loved both the variants. A huge plus is the packaging, the tea is vacuum packed in smaller pouches of 250 gms to preserve the freshness. You also get an additional sealable pouch to transfer the tea once you open it. If you are buying this tea, it is a caveat emptor situation. In over 60 years of buying, brewing and drinking tea, I have never seen a tea like this, which has been CTCed so much that not even one CTC granule opens up after brewing. As to flavour, you need a strong nose to detect it. All you get is the smell of the wooden chest. Never again!
