I gave this book from AMAZON one star because it is a terrible reproduction. If you know Lynn Cherry's illustrations you would know she would not produce such chopped and cropped pictures and bad color, etc. Wonderful story! So much I bought a third copy but for a collague. I was super stressed about Amazon's quality for this book.

Perspective
This is a book about an armadillo who wants to travel outside his small world - thedesert area of Amarillo. As he goes along, he sends back postcards of what he sees.He is very ingenious in getting farther and farther away from Amarillo. He eventuallymakes it to outer space. Cumulatively, the reader ends up with a sense of where weare in the universe. It is a simpler book version of the Powers of Ten movie from manyyears ago.

Lynne Cherry has once again created a masterpiece! I teach Social Studies here in Texas, and this is a wonderful introduction to the different regions and their characteristics.
