Time will tell
I have used Flex Seal paste in household projects over the past few years and had extreme success. Over the past month I removed cleaned and reseated 14 Portlights, and 4 Deck hatches on my sailboat. I have full confidence that this will last long into the future. The price was a 50% of the previous 3m products I have used in the past. It may be over kill but I used 12 tubes for my project. I used the RYOBI battery powered caulking gun, which made it very easy and controllable. I then used my fingertip (rubber gloves) for smoothing. I continually sprayed my gloved fingertip with alcohol and smoothed to a perfect finish.NOTE: I took the above pictures before trimming and smoothing the Flex Paste.

Believe the ads
This stuff is nothing short of amazing. I needed a rubberized paste to fill some channels in high-density rubber matting. I tried several different (and much more expensive) products with minimal success. One of them required 24 hours of dry time for every 1/4" of depth and STILL didn't full dry after a week. We couldn't have that kind of downtime waiting for something to dry. I hesitated using Flexseal because the goofy guy in the boat didn't instill a high degree of credibility in me. Well, I was so wrong! This stuff is amazing! It sticks to virtually ANYTHING, dries very fast, and is very solid. My only complaint is it's almost impossible to get a smooth spread on it because it sticks to whatever you tool it with. But I've discovered if you let it dry just enough to not stick to wax paper, you can carefully put the wax paper over it and tool it to a more smooth appearance. Also, depending on what you are using it on, it helps to spray some Flexseal spray first, let it dry, and then put the paste over it. I heard this directly from Flexseal as a method of getting a super secure application. We have not had a single issue with doing this yet!

It's flexible
I'm using this to repair hand weights, 5#, 3#, etc. The covering often gets loose and needs to have a way to reattach. Tried doing this with paste in a can but it just dries out. The tube absolutely does the job.

Does the Job
I needed to seal the rubber seals on the roof of my 14 year old highlander because the sun took its toll on them. So instead of buying and replacing the them I thought this was a less expensive way to fix them. It was hard to try to get it smooth but it did fill in all the cracks in the seal and it did seal the area once again. Flexseal does what they advertise it will do in my opinion. I’ve use the caulk tube and their spray and both did the job.
