Great hiking and nature backpack.
Lowepro offers the best hiking backpacks.. I have two sizes. And I love them both. They are light well-made convenient. They are sporty looking.. these photos sport bags I would not take as my wedding photography bag. Even if you are a minimal carry.. I don’t think these look classy enough. They fit well in nature. That’s where they shine. You can’t fail with a Lowepro!

Love this Bag
I am new to both photography and hiking but I have really been enjoying both. I decided to treat myself to this bag since I didn't really have anything suitable for carrying equipment and basic necessities as I move to longer trails and beyond beginner trails. I wanted something small and lightweight since I am a beginner but that could grow with me a little bit as I gain more experience. While you do have the option to take out the camera bag and use that space, without doing that this is a pretty small backpack. That being said the top 'non-camera' section is pretty spacious for the size of the bag. You can fit a compact jacket, some snacks, a small first aid kit, and other necessities pretty easily. It also has a small pouch on the waistband that is great for quick-access items. If you do take out the camera pouch this more than doubles the size of the bag and you can attach it to the waistband. I think if you are regularly doing hikes where you need to do this it is probably time to upgrade to a bigger bag, but for someone like me where this is the exception instead of the rule, it is great to have the flexibility. I also love that I can just use the camera bag as an insert in my other bags as well! It has lots of well-thought-out pockets and accessories for photographers and I am just really happy I decided to splurge on this for myself. One thing I have not tried and do not have a lot of experience with is the hydration pocket so I can't comment too much on that. I have a canon m6 ii and can fit my camera with a lens on it and an extra lens easily. I have a little room left over that I could maybe fit a pancake lens or extra batteries. Overall I highly recommend this bag. I am sure there are more 'serious' hikers where a bag of this size would not be suitable but for me it is perfect.

Great small backpack
It's small. For my 6ft frame it was too small so I had to return it. Fitting a Sony A6600 with 18-135 and an prime was tight. I went for the lowepro photo sport 200AW instead. Perfect fit, a little larger and a bit more space for my camera. I think that's the better backpack.

Great Outdoor Camera Hiking Backpack
I did a lot of searching to find a trail pack that would double as a camera bag so I had the ruggedness of something I can take hiking and hold all of my supplies, while also the security of keeping my DSLR safe. The new version of these Lowepro backpacks are awesome. Versatile and well built, it worked great for my first trip to Yellowstone. I'm excited to use it more as I start getting deeper into landscape photography. As a personal preference I went with the 24L vs the 15L. The two packs will fit on your back almost the same, I think the 15L is only 2" smaller in both height and width, it gains most of it's space on how far it sticks off your back. I guess it comes down to your body frame size and how much extra room you want for stuff in the top dry storage space. 10/10 would buy again.

Great size for on-the-move camera gear
I really miss the Lowepro sling-shot series. I've got a 10-year old Sling-Shot 100 (150?). It was the perfect travel size. I've tried several different backpacks and could never find the right for travel photography. This feels like the logical successor. It's a good day-pack approach to protecting your camera. A Nikon Z7ii just barely fits. There's room up top for a few essentials and plenty of anchor points on the outside for hats/coats/tripods.

A great backpack for a small camera
It fits one small camera body, extra lens should be stored in the main compartment.

Cheaply made
Straps on the chest snapped off. Only used the bag 5 times in a month. Conveniently broke 5 days after my return window

Top compartment is too small compared to old one
The overall feel and back padding feels better than old version but the top cover compartment is super tiny now. Old photosport 300, I can place a large blower, a few bars, phone, large battery pack, a bunch of random stuff. This one, I can put phone, battery pack and maybe 1 bar? Can probably shove more if I force it but then everything would be smashed. Camera compartment feels more sturdy but slightly smaller. Will be returning.

The Lowepro PhotoSport BP AW III is an absolute gem for photographers and outdoor enthusiasts. It combines functionality, comfort, and style seamlessly. this backpack is a fantastic investment for anyone who loves both photography and the great outdoors. It's stylish, comfortable, and provides peace of mind knowing that your camera gear is secure. I wouldn't embark on any adventure without it!

Perfect for a small mirrorless camera and one extra. The size is very small, however it is just within the personal bag for flying so its all I can have. Time will tell if its too small. The design features of the clips and alternate configuration options are fantastic and well thought out. I really like that the internal camera case can come and the space can be used for other gear while the camera case can be used standalone too.

Bought for my daughter and as expected it’s the usual excellent LowePro quality. However, the camera section is only big enough for a Fuji X-T2 with one lens (55-200). You cannot even store second lens 18-55.
