Good product
I have had this light for 2 months. The auto feature is awesome and best if brightness (this is automatic setting mind you) is set to under 50% still quite bright 2 months later still at 97% battery. Unbelievable. I'll say though it's not for everyone. It's not a flashlight you can use to its full capacity until directions or how to videos are reviewed. I mostly use auto mode and that will get you through just fine. I prefer more granular lighting options that are static in some senarios. It's expensive aside from cost it's really a stellar built flashlight.

Hate it so much!
For a flashlight that cost this much you would think it can with stand a drop on the grass less than 2 feet drop. the connection they use is plastic, and the body is metal. What's the point of having a full metal body, but cheap out on the connection which is the part that need a metal part the most! totally not worth the price tag!

Best flashlight I've ever owned, and I've owned a lot of flashlights!
2020 Edit/Update: So, this is still a great flashlight, but... some of the rubber buttons have started coming apart and are barely holding on. And while this is/was my favorite flashlight, I didn't use it a lot. It's my bedside flashlight so it doesn't get a lot of use like the one I use when I take my dogs outside for a walk. Also my flashlight now only shows 100% or 0%, nothing in between. It still charges and works ok, but I never know when it's just going to go to 0% and stop working. And it also doesn't hold a charge nearly as long as it used to. So while it's still a great flashlight, and it's still one of my favorites for power outages since I can dim it down, after three years of use, I'm bumping this down to four stars due to the problems I've mentioned. In summary, best flashlight ever. Expensive? Yes. Worth it? You bet! We had numerous power outages through the winter and I was able to use this flashlight in varying modes to light my house, you can adjust the lumens to fit how much light you need or how long you need the battery to last. I normally have this set to default Flood/Spot mode when I turn it on, however, it's easy to go back into automatic focusing with a few button presses. For what I do the Flood/Spot/Lantern mode isn't as useful, the Lantern mode with the other two scatters too much light to the sides, but you can easily set it to Flood/Spot mode in the menu settings. Once set, it will go into that mode when you first turn it on. I haven't tried using this to recharge other devices so I can't speak to that, but flashlight wise, this is just truly amazing. And at maximum lumens, it's crazy bright too. Even my neighbor commented on it when I was outside one night during the power outage, and she's not even a flashlight person!

bad firmware
great flashlight, but the firmware for the battery is very buggyUpdate: yea, after use it for several months, the firmware responsible for the battery management is really a bad joke. I can't recommend this product.

Not worth the cost!
I have an old 1970's Sears plastic and vintage flashlight still turns on/off .. not as powerful as the new models.. but at least still works! I purchased 1 LUXOR gen1 (during the PLX Devices kickstarter campaign) two LUXOR2 (gen 2) in 2019 and 1 LUXOR mini (also in 2019) ... At first I was impressed by the candle power, great light and... of course... the LCD display (LUXOR models) and the rechargeable battery... but ... less than a year later... NONE of those units work! ... I've tried several times to contact tech support.. all I get it's a repetitive set of troubleshooting steps to follow with the same result: NOTHING! Flashlights still not working! LCD has gone blank! .... I've purchased new batteries ... giving the benefit of the doubt... to no avail! ...For the price.. you will expect this "state of the art" new flashlights to last at least 5 years ! ...NOT WORTH THE COST!!!

One light to rule them all. I readily admit ...
One light to rule them all.I readily admit that I buy a lot of flashlights, and I have them stashed everywhere. The PLX is heads and shoulders above any light available on the market. The construction is solid, but it remains lightweight. The LED panel denotes lumens and more important battery level is quite helpful. The PLX Luxor 2 is used everyday, and my other flashlights remain in their drawers.
