I am a professional illustrator and definitely recommend these pens
I am a professional illustrator and definitely recommend these pens. Although I render primarily in Photoshop and Illustrator, I am constantly sketching in toned sketchbooks and have found these pens work incredibly well for bright highlights. I also have done a few children's books in watercolor, and these gelly roll pens do a great job of laying a final highlight over other marks. They are definitely opaque enough. The only medium I have found they don't really work well with is prismacolor markers. Even when I would let the marker dry for a while, the white still seemed a little dull over the top of it. I guess the only negative thing I have to say about these pens is that occasionally they get a little gummy and i have to wipe the tip off with a paper towel, but honestly for the wonderful line quality and opacity that I typically get, that is only a minor complaint. I have used so many white pens and pencils and in the end find that my number one choice is the coveted gelly roll pen... So if you like strong, bright white lines to highlight and accentuate your drawings, this is the pen that I recommend.

Perfect for crafting
Used on my cricut explore air 2. Worked great but it does take a moment to realize where the pen sits to prevent streaking. Great product.

Good pens for writing on black.
I used the pens to write in my black journal! Worked well, the writing was smooth and didn’t really smudge (unless you wiped it literally right after you wrote). I wrote a lot so I would often have to buy a new pack of pens every 3-4 months. I like this brand because of how easy it is to write. It flowed nicely too. Would buy again!

Long-lasting and reliable; somewhat uneven ink distribution.
Continue to flow years after purchase!!!! YAY!!!! As with many gel-pens, these start slow at times, and have a little build-up of of ink around the ball of the ball point---but nothing unexpected with gel pens. When using after it's been a while (or in the middle of a project, as needed) I'll simply roll the pen a touch on my open palm (probably could do this on the sole of a shoe or something---anything with a bit of a grip; I just use my hand because it's simple) to get rid of that initial glob build up, and build-up during a project. Four stars because the pen tends to dispense the ink somewhat unevenly (thus writing on my palm). That being said...the pens last many years unused in storage---unlike many many gel pens. So I'm very happy with that! I use these pens as a cover-up for misplaced strokes in my India-inked artwork. The ink is opaque enough that it works perfectly. It takes me a couple of layers to complete the cover-up. I'm happy because this ink behaves much like paint, in that I can write one layer, let it dry, then add another layer on top of the dried layer. (Always make sure the India ink has dried first!)(I always do this as the last step in my artwork, since writing with black ink on the top of the gel pen may have unexpected results. In a pinch, however, I will use a fine-line Sharpie to go over the white gel pen. [ALWAYS make sure the gel pen is dry before writing over it with a Sharpie---or goodbye Sharpie! lol])

I LOVE THESE! Sakura is the best.
Seriously don’t even bother with other white ink pens, you’ll be disappointed. The ink is very visible on black paper. It won’t melt and bleed in like other gel/pastel or glitter pens do. This white ink is SO vibrant and so smooth, it just glides right on the paper. I’m still only on my first pen, too! The ink is of excellent quality and lasts long. These are *chef’s kiss*

They work
A decent pen for going over dry watercolor pieces, dark paper, or anywhere you need opaque white that does not immediately darken.

white gel-ink pens, white ink pens, white gel pens
GREAT ink flow and ink quality! Buy the BLACK paper post-it pads with these pens. I love the white ink on black paper--I prefer writing this like. These pens write really smooth and the ink flows evenly. The tip of the pen can build up with white residue but just roll the pen a little and it's gone. Parents who want to get their kids interested in writing, give them this pen and the black sheet lined papers (Pacon--not pitching this product, it's just the only one available on Amazon) and let them go. [I'm wondering if the black paper is less harmful to the environment since there is no bleaching involved in the paper making process.] PLEASE SOMEONE MAKE ALL BLACK SHEET--no lines--JOURNAL BOOKS! For me, I can go through the ink of a pen in about one-two weeks; I write a lot with the white on black. My only issue with pens of any kind is the used pens: they should be recycled and I am more than willing to save used pens and ship them back to the manufacturer and let them refill my used pens and ship them back to me to reuse: The barrel, nip, pen cap and end can be reused; all the manufacturer have to do is either replace or refill the ink reservoir of my pens--OR, manufacturer can provide the ink reservoir and I'll pop it in. Billions of people around the world use pens--billions are thrown out everyday!

Decent, but they streak
It's hard to explain but if you picture you're writing with a ballpoint that is dragging through whiteout—that is what these feel like. Every so often they will also break the steady line and then work again. G2 metallic pens are much much smoother.

I was expecting it to be bad to be honest, but I was surprised when I liked them. I used them to add extra details or finishing touches on my painting. I would love, however, if they sold one that's half white pens and half black pen--that would make life so much easier.

These are lovely opaque pens. They work well and apply smooth on the page. The harder you press, the more opaque they are but they're also capable of semi-transparent lines which is great for variety. My only issue with them is that they do not work on top of watercolour paints, nor on coloured pencils, but they work very well on top of Copic markers. The lines are very thin but I would prefer if they did a variation which was even thinner. Overall, I like them a lot.
