New strap linked. Recommend 1000%
1000% recomend this light. Just bought 2 more for other bikes as I ride with others often. I love this light as the medium and low settings are plenty bright and the ultra mode is insane and almost never needed. I swap this light between 4-5 different bikes almost nightly for at least 3yrs maybe longer now. I also had the strap break a few months in. I didn't like the design of the strap to begin with as it goes on everything from a tri bike to a mountain bike and literally everything in between. I replaced the strap with half of another mount found on Amazon for like $9 haven't had an issue yet and can mount swivel on any shape. The mount link is at the bottom. Split it into 2 halves and it is a perfect screw in fit for the Blackburn lights. Once you do this you can mount on anything you want you can change strap sizes etc. It was a game changer for me and this light. As far as overheating goes I've only run the light too hot if I'm in ultra mode mid summer and slow rolling like 10mph or if I leave it on while not riding. The only problem that's ever come from that is the light died faster( like in an hr) usually lasts longer than the stated times when riding at a normal clip. So change the strap and put your light back on your bikes for all the other reviewers. I recieved nothing from this review and have over 40,000 miles with one of these lights. So I definitely think it's the best on the market after trying literally everything else.https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0761RX64G?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

Super bright
I enjoy night riding and my favorite trail has miles of overgrowth so at night it’s like riding in a tunnel. I have one on my bars and one on my helmet but they’re bright enough so no need to use them both at the same time. Batteries last about an hour or so on high.

Bright, decent battery life
The rubber straps on these are prone to tearing after a year or so. And replacement straps cannot be found.Since the light must be taken off frequently for recharging, there should be a permanent strap with a mount that allows easy removal of the light.Plenty bright, decent battery life.

Works in Cold Weather
Used this to go riding in the winter. Held up well at lower temperatures, and got me through at max power with plenty of battery to spare.

Cheap strap snapped
The strap snapped on 1st day I was mounting to the handle.

Very bright and compact
Very bright and compact. Good deal when on sale. Haven't really tested the battery life yet, but can tell setting 3 is bright enough.

If you prefer decent battery life and a solid mount, look elsewhere
I've been using the Blackburn Dayblazer 1100 on a pretty regular basis for about 6 months, and have some thoughts. First, the battery life is ridiculously short, even on the 400 lumen setting, and not as advertised. After a 2-ish hour ride, the battery life indicator shows red (<25%), so I've basically taken to charging it after every single ride. Also, the rubber strap mount broke after very little use. If you take the light on and off the bars with any regularity, I think you'll be disappointed in the retention system of the Blackburn 1100.If you don't mind charging the light after every ride and plan to either leave the light on your bars permanently or invest in replacement mounts, then this is the light for you. If you prefer longer battery life and a less-flimsy mount, look elsewhere.

Good light, flawed design
The light is bright enough and the battery lasts for a decent 6-7 hours so long as you don't use the brightest, steady modes which I don't tend to.The strap has worked fine all these 11 months I've had it. Mounting and dismounting is easy so long as I first slip it onto the thinner, tapered end of the handlebar and my fingers aren't too cold.My main beef with the Dayblazer 1000 is the clear, rubbery button on top which displays approximately much battery remains and - critically important - allows you to cycle through its 5 modes and turn it off. I'm not sure if it melted slightly after being left in the summer sun too long or if I've put too much pressure with my thumb while attempting to operate the unit but about 3/4 of its shape appears as if it was cut around like a cut-out and renders it very difficult to use. I'll update this review with a pic later and try reaching out to Blackburn customer service to see what they say about this.
