Q bit SQ1000-S-LV

I am an installer. I used to cut out single gang low voltage boxes with a drywall saw. I laugh at how silly I was now. I also laugh at how long it took and the number of things in the wall that I nicked with that drywall saw. If you do a lot of retrofit runs like me, and need to cut boxes....get one of these. I had to by the tool to put it on, but it was worth it. Time is money my friend. Cut serious time off my jobs.Pros:- Cuts the right size box and no fuss- Can cut through without over penetrating and hitting something you shouldn't- Cut cut drywall and stop short of destroying your vapor barrier, which was quite handy- Gives you a nice little sample square if you need to match paintCons:- Speed. It cuts only as fast as you throttle the tool. So If you want to cut out a hole fast, you really have to give the tool some gas. The byproduct of that is dust. So speed = drywall dust flying everywhere. It is a dodgy con because you can run it low speed and still is much faster than doing it by hand- Takes a while to get the real knack of it, knowing how to rock it while cutting to get it done in a uniform fashion. Once you get that down, it is fine.

Tool is perfect size for low voltage box’s. Huge time saver. Would recommend having vacuum on while using makes a lot of dust

This tool changed my life saves me 10-15min. Wish i bought this earlier.

A big time saver. Mark out the box and cut it with ease and precision. Saves time and money with no downfalls that I can find. I would recommend.

Once you figure out how to rock it back and forth it works like a dream
