Original Prusa i3 MK3/S and MK2.5/S Spring Steel Sheet With Smooth Double-sided PEI

The quality and performance is exactly what one would expect from a Prusa OEM build plate. The same type build plate came with my Prusa printer. I damaged the surface by removing printed parts before the plate had sufficiently cooled. Going down the path of saving money, my first thought was to just replace the PEI sheet. Before ordering a PEI sheet I tried removing the old PEI. I got the sheet off, but removing the adhesive was way more effort than anticipated. Scrapped that idea and continuing with the theme of saving money, bought one of the many aftermarket build plates sold on Amazon. Should have believed the negative reviews that called out that they could not consistently obtain satisfactory adhesion with PLA or PTEG. Money down the drain. Ordered the Original Prusa build plate and printing is back to normal.

I really think this is OEM but the markings are not quite the same as the one that came with my original MK3S. Sure beats ordering directly from Prusa and shipping overseas!

This item started bubbling after about 10 days of use. The protective cover is separated from the steel. I have used these plates before, and haven't had this issue, so I feel it's a one-off.So, why the one-star review? I can't return it or replace it. I have to eat the loss. I don't know if this is an Amazon thing or a Prusa thing, but I'd caution about buying through Amazon.

I prefer ordering from Amazon than direct from Prusa. This build plate works great with PLA.

Have multiple printers. When a build surface starts going bad I have to put a new surface on. Can take quite a bit of time so needed a spare. This appears to be original and works great. Price is extremely high but less than shipping from Italy and much quicker arrival. Guess you pay for convenience

I purchased this for the government. They Happy, Me Happy!!

Just received 2 of these today. I am replacing the original which has been a real workhorse. I printed one part, a simple face shield and it peeled the entire plastic coated surface. Are these real? Seller needs to answer for this. Is it a one off defect? One print, $50 plate. Buyer beware!!!!!

You know a build plate sucks when it’s over priced & so smooth that you have use masking tape & a glue stick just to have one successful print. I hate this plate so much, what’s worse is with the mk4 Prusa added a textured plate, which means they knew it was terrible & still decided to sell it at high premium! I hate prusa & josfe the founder for reasons just like that there! Don’t buy this plate or anything from Prusa ever!!
