World War II Tanks: Western Allies 1939–45: Identification Guide (Essential ID Guides)

Great for Wargamers!
Was looking for books to support the development of scenarios for playing wargames and this book is great for that purpose. Please note as the title describes this only includes finer details about the Allied forces, however the text includes some limited description of the Axis adversaries. There is detailed information about not only tanks, but also other fighting vehicles including things like size, speed, armament, and range. Also includes hundreds of vehicle drawings (it's an identification guide after all!)Information is chronologically organized by theatre and even specific battles including counts of each vehicle and unit organizations (TOEs) enabling you to get the right Allied tanks on the board for your scenario. There is also text describing the flow of conflict and nice background to help create a situational story. So, with a little imagination you can recreate North Africa, 1942, El Alamein to Tunis, Battle of Alam El Halfa.Unfortunately this work only includes a brief mention here and there about aircraft, artillery, and infantry those details require other references. Also, this only includes Europe and North Africa, nothing about Pacific land battles or related vehicles.
