Works well
Supplied as 3 parts incardbard box:1. Dummy battery with wire ending as female barrel connector2. Mains adaptor block leading to male barrel connector. Has blue LED disply showing voltage x.xx3. Mains lead - UK plug to figure-of-8 plug for mains adaptor.Instructional photos are not for this particular dummy battery. Before installatiion, it's imporant to feed the dummy battery wire correctly through the channel on the battery, so that it aligns with the camera's pull-down rubber flap. Otherwise, the camera's battery door will not close properly and is easily damaged.

GENIUS!!! No more running out of battery mid-video! So clever - works a treat
I am not going to upload photos for the sake of it as the Amazon photos are spot on.I have a Canon EOS-70D and use it all the time for stills and videos. I am an amateur photographer and I am often asked to video speeches etc. at functions. My biggest fear is draining an LP-E6 battery mid speech. The generic batteries you buy are never up to the same capacity as the Canon ones and the Canon ones cost a fortune. The ACK is brilliant. It fits into the battery compartment like a normal battery. You will notice that your camera has a little rubber flap on the battery door that you probably never noticed before. This is designed to allow the lead out and once you get the hang of it, the battery installs and the door closes with no resistance.Once in, plug it into a mains supply and the battery will last for ever. I have a Powerstation external power supply which only has a 100W capacity but gives pretty much unlimited (hours) of video recording. With a 64GB SD card you can video for ever without worrying about battery and space. This is SO clever and I am so pleased I have it. It has got me out of a hole a couple of times. If you need to get rid of the range anxiety of your LP-E6 batteries and you are filming indoors near a power supply, this is great!!!

Blinky blinky
It does not deliver a consistent power source so my camera in video mode keeps cutting out

Works Perfect for Canon 7D Mark II
Since Canon released their EOS Webcam drivers, I decided I wanted to use my Canon 7D Mark II as a webcam. Given the superior camera quality of the 7D Mark II, it makes for a better solution than most of the low price (relative to a DSLR) webcams. The only issue I had was giving the camera constant power. You can use battery power for the webcam, but in video mode the 7D Mark II runs out of juice pretty quick. Enter the E6 AC power adapter. The batter adapter works as intended. The adapter plugs into the battery compartment as a normal LP-E6 battery would. The only thing to pay attention to is you need to CLOSE THE BATTERY DOOR for the camera to turn on. On the 7D Mark II battery compartment, there is a little rubber flap near the hand grip (adjacent to lens) that moves out of the way for the adapter's power cord to run out of the battery compartment. The battery door then easily closes.
