Bought this for Recliner Chair I work from
My work from home setup included a recliner that was in the room prior to me turning it into a work space. Recliners are deep and not ideal for long days leaning forward on a computer. This pad mentioned it came with extra long straps and I wondered if they would fit around the recliner and they did. I was also concerned that it would not be thick enough to really make a difference, but it turned out to be a perfect amount and my back rests against it as soon as I sit down. I definitely have more support now and am hoping it will take away some of the strain on my back leaning forward. The only negative I have had with this is it tends to get a little hot at times on my back because of the cover. It is still a little early to know if this will be an ongoing thing or just has been my experience because of the warmer temps here lately. It does feel odd at times to have this new support in the chair and you wonder if it's hurting or helping. It is kind of like when you adjust the lumbar support in the car too much and your back feels it. I may just need to adjust the position of the pad at a times, but overall I am very happy with his purchase.

Good Support, But Especially Great for a Chair Mod!!
I bought a "gaming chair" a little while back off of Newegg for about 90 bucks. I don't have the issues that people normally have with these chairs but I still noticed the lack of lumbar support. I bought this pillow to help with the support, and it helped, but had the downside that it pushed me forward a good 4 inches or so, causing my longer than average legs to hang off the chair. This was quite uncomfortable for me so I didn't use the lumbar support as intended at first. My girlfriend then brought up the idea of modifying the chair, so I went ahead and unzipped the backing of my gaming chair, removed the flimsy non-supportive foam, and placed this support INSIDE the backing of the chair. After zipping it up (doing so was a bit of a struggle with the new support taking up more space than the previous old foam) it feels like an entirely new chair and I couldn't be happier. YMMV; my chair has metal support inside making this mod fairly easy to do, and if you're not comfortable with opening up your gaming chair then I wouldn't advise you do it. However, it was fairly easy (maybe 30 minutes total of taking apart my chair, replacing the foam, and putting back together), and for myself this has been the best 40 bucks I've spent on comfort for my chair. If you're willing to do a little modding you just might like it too!

Good but still waiting on something designed for a two-piece chair
This is the second lumbar pillow that I've purchased for my office chair. While I like the height of this one better than a standard lumbar pillow, it still has two problems that persist across so many varieties of these pillows. These may not be a big deal if your chair seat and backrest are one piece, but my chair has separate seat and backrest piece with a gap in between. Before I get into those, this is an incredibly comfortable pillow. It has quality memory foam in it and provides real support. I like the side stabilizer pieces. With the height, I can lean fully back against it and shoulderblades and upper back are supported. A standard lumbar pillow can push you away from the back of your chair and make it uncomfortable to lean back against your chair for this support.1. The strap is elastic. It is much wider and stiffer than the wimpy, loose band on my previous one but it still has too much give to hold it in place. The strap needs to be made of a non-stretchable material. By the end of the day yesterday (first day I used it), it had migrated to the crack between the seat of my chair and the back even with the strap as tight as I could make it. It took a good yank to get it out this morning (that memory foam compresses really well).2. It has only has one strap. No matter what the strap material is, one strap is not sufficient to hold it in place. Two horizontal straps would be an improvement but it needs a vertical strap to really be solid. Looping a non-elastic vertical strap over the top and under the bottom of the backrest of my chair would keep it at the correct height (which is a good 6 inches above the seat of my chair, not sitting on it). Then the horizontal strap just needs to provide stability.I have this really cool laptop case that has loops on all sides of it, so you can clip the strap on in a number of ways. I love having it vertical instead of the traditional horizontal configuration. Why do I mention this? Because if a great lumbar pillow like this had this same flexibility, it could fit on any chair and really stay in place. Maybe two vertical straps would be best on some chairs, either parallel to each other or crisscrossed. Maybe two horizontal straps would work better for a one-piece chair...it could do that. On the back of the pillow, you could put the loops a couple inches away from the edge of the so they aren't visible once it's installed. The other day when I picked this out, I was in a huge hurry and the sheer number of basic lumbar pillows was too much. I had never seen a tall one like this, which is why it caught my eye but I kept looking trying to see if any of the other tall ones had better straps and almost gave up. The only reason I kept looking was that I was ordering something else that cost less than $35 and I needed to buy something else to get free same day shipping. If I had seen this backrest and it was promoted as having flexible installation options, I wouldn't even have thought to keep looking, even if it cost $10 more. I would have bought it and it would have been worth it.

Wish It Was Wider
I spend allot of time sitting in my office chair. Because of that found myself experiencing nagging pains in the middle of my back when standing up from a sitting position.Picked this Memory Foam Cushion up to address that problem.I can say that this is a well made product. The stitching is spot on. Material used is great quality. Even the straps provided for setting cushion firmly in place how you want it are well constructed.Only complaint I have is the top half of the cushion that supports the middle area of my back isn't wide enough. Bottom section of my back the cushion supports is great. The middle portion of my back where the edge of the cushion sets on doesn't feel so hot. Have to constantly adjust it to keep the edge from pressing on skin leading to some irritation. So if you have a small frame or back, this cushion is absolutely perfect. For those of us that are a bit bigger with a wider back it does have a slight flaw.Overall I do like this Memory Foam Cushion. It has addressed my problem. Have noticed a major reduction in the periodic pain I'd get in the middle of my back moving up towards my shoulder area when getting out of my chair since using it.
