Nexar makes a great product (even though my first one died after 3 years). The app works great and pairing was super easy for the new unit. This is a basic model but works great for my needs.

I've had this dashcam for a while now. I like that it streams video to you phone. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is the suction cup mount let's go of the windshield periodically. I wish Nexar would make a mount that I could use 3M double sided tape to more permanently mount.

This was the best investment I could have ever brought for my safety you get a very clear view picture and I love how you can set the different features that you want to have captured while you drive safely!

I've been using this now for a couple weeks and the video quality is awesome. Clear as a bell. What I don't like is the app. It's not completely intuitive and there is ZERO in the way of user guides and no help on their site. The challenge I had was trying to figure out how to reduce the size of the clip instead of download the whole drive. A 30 minute drive is about one gig of space and that gets hard to move around. I finally figured out how to shrink the size of the clip but then when trying to do that, all of a sudden the video will go all black and then I have to get out completely and come back in and start from scratch to find the portion of the clip I want to save. Spend some time on the app and fix these shortcomings for a five-star review.After having this dash cam for several months I can now say that I totally regret buying this cam and have updated my review accordingly. Here's why I would never buy this again.1. Getting a clip downloaded is basically impossible unless you want to make the whole recording a clip which means a very large file. When trying to use the app to trim the clip it fails every time. What happens is as you browse the clip, eventually it will go all black and you can't see anything before or after. Essentially, the whole clip turns black and you have no idea where you are trying to clip.2. The suction cup doesn't hold very well. Camera falls off the windshield constantly. The most recent time the screw that holds the camera to the suction cup fell out and is now lost somewhere inside my car or on the front end of the dashboard where you can't reach anything that falls in.3. Constantly turning off mid drive. I'm constantly having to push the USB into the adapter they give you and it will chime and then seconds later it's back off again.4. Kills the battery on my phone. In one short drive of 30-minutes I can go from 100% charged to 60%. I then have to plug my phone in and it causes my phone to heat up and start shutting down apps.I would not buy this again, EVER. Don't waste your money on this. Find something that actually works.

I have no complaints for a low cost dash cam 3 months in. Works well. Easy to install properly with the supplied directions. (YMMV depending on vehicle) Only complaint is it's slow to pick up a drive sometimes so you might want to double check. Close out your last drive helps. And the occasional message from the company to checkup on you for no reason. Overall, great bang for the buck!For the people complaining about heat, you don't have to stream. The camera will pickup when you power on the car and notify you it is recording in the background. If you don't get the message, open the app and verify it has started recording. Close the app and it will, once again, notify you it is recording in the background. It will notify you at the end of the drive to save it also. Nice that it picks up things like hard braking and such automatically. Or, you can manual take a clip if you are streaming by clicking on it. I use Bluetooth to connect to my stereo so no issues with Wi-Fi.

When I first got the camera, it was pretty good however, the floss begin the show up soon after and I mean very soon.Sudden GlitchesThe recording quality can be very terrible one time I was driving on interstate 19 and the camera decides to glitch out half the time and it’s not like a couple seconds. It’s like a couple minutes that was glitching.🔼 and when I went to record at the time the new 6th St., Bridge in downtown Los Angeles as soon as I went in the bridge, it decided to glitch when I come back One year later to drive on the bridge, the video glitched out again.The camera can skip FramesWhen my drives are longer than a minute, the video can start skipping frames, which is really concerning because if this wasn’t an accident, I would have no way of knowing who is at fault for the accident And the dash cam would not help at all.God awful audioI don’t know what to say To describe the horrible audio The dash cam recording quality at the very least it’s garbled. The quality of camera is like having a phone from 2008 but even more inconvenient.Side note: I wish that the camera would save onto the SD card as a recording because when I do go to the website to grab a recording of my drive, it’s only available in snippets of 10 seconds and I much rather have one large fileAt the end of the day, the camera can be good. It does record fairly good nighttime recording and also the video quality Of the camera when it works it is Very clear minus the audio And I like the fact that I get unlimited cloud storage,however I’m thinking of getting another dash cam because this did not satisfy my expectations.
