This is my first dash cam, so I can't compare it to others. I chose Nexar based on reviews, the app, and free cloud storage.Setting it up was very easy. Suction cups usually don't hold, but this one is sturdy and tight. They provide ample cord length to snake it around the windshield and seat and provided some clips to keep the cord in place. After downloading the app and turning the car in, the device paired itself practically instantly.Videos are clear, day or night. If you want audio in your drive videos you must manually enable it in settings.One major disadvantage is it doesn't have motion detection or shock sensors so if you are hit while parked, it won't catch anything. It's only on when the car is on.Others have mentioned it only starts recording 5 minutes into the drive, but I haven't experienced this. Mine is already recording while I'm still taking stuff out of my pockets before I pull out of the driveway.So far I love it, but if I were to get another, I'd definitely choose a dash cam that will turn on and record from motion/shock.

Customer service directly from the website was extremely helpful when I informed them that my mount broke. I have liked using this camera since I was hit and run in 2022. I like that it streams right to my phone but it does kind of drain the battery, so know that. It has a good image and plenty of settings but really it’s a great basic WiFi dash camera. I would buy it again

Got dashcam back in November. Worked good for the first month, however the audio became complete static on all of my recordings after about a month and a half. Reached out to Nexar about the problem, however we could not seem to resolve the issue. In process of getting replaced with Nexar. Support team on Nexar was very helpful and I am grateful they are replacing it under warranty, however I wish it had worked correctly in the first place.

I purchased this as a gift for my fiance, and he cannot stop raving about it. I saw an ad about this camera on Facebook, and decided to take the plunge. Someone recently hit my fiance's car, and having a dash cam offers a bit more peace of mind in case something like that happens. He was able to get the camera set up quickly, and link it to his phone without issues. The video quality is amazing, day or night, and he's able to record long periods of video without needing to clear out the camera memory. The camera will also overwrite old footage if it runs out of storage, without needing to be manually cleared.He is absolutely obsessed with this, and is so happy with this camera so far. Hoping to get one for myself when it finally comes back in stock!Update, July 2022: I ended up buying myself a dash cam, and it paid itself off earlier this year by catching a hit and run driver! My car was parked in a parking lot and hit, and the person drove off. There was very obvious damage to my door and it ended up being an expensive fix.My dash cam turned on and caught the license plate, car color, and car type clearly during the night. We were able to find the driver and they were held responsible for the damages they did to my car. I also bought one for my dad, who is very excited to learn how to use his. This little dash cam is great, and I am so happy we have them for our vehicles!

I've been using this now for a couple weeks and the video quality is awesome. Clear as a bell. What I don't like is the app. It's not completely intuitive and there is ZERO in the way of user guides and no help on their site. The challenge I had was trying to figure out how to reduce the size of the clip instead of download the whole drive. A 30 minute drive is about one gig of space and that gets hard to move around. I finally figured out how to shrink the size of the clip but then when trying to do that, all of a sudden the video will go all black and then I have to get out completely and come back in and start from scratch to find the portion of the clip I want to save. Spend some time on the app and fix these shortcomings for a five-star review.After having this dash cam for several months I can now say that I totally regret buying this cam and have updated my review accordingly. Here's why I would never buy this again.1. Getting a clip downloaded is basically impossible unless you want to make the whole recording a clip which means a very large file. When trying to use the app to trim the clip it fails every time. What happens is as you browse the clip, eventually it will go all black and you can't see anything before or after. Essentially, the whole clip turns black and you have no idea where you are trying to clip.2. The suction cup doesn't hold very well. Camera falls off the windshield constantly. The most recent time the screw that holds the camera to the suction cup fell out and is now lost somewhere inside my car or on the front end of the dashboard where you can't reach anything that falls in.3. Constantly turning off mid drive. I'm constantly having to push the USB into the adapter they give you and it will chime and then seconds later it's back off again.4. Kills the battery on my phone. In one short drive of 30-minutes I can go from 100% charged to 60%. I then have to plug my phone in and it causes my phone to heat up and start shutting down apps.I would not buy this again, EVER. Don't waste your money on this. Find something that actually works.

This was the best investment I could have ever brought for my safety you get a very clear view picture and I love how you can set the different features that you want to have captured while you drive safely!
