great product, crystal clear. if outside during the summer i had about1 or 2 minutes work life. I had to thin this down in order for it to work on my hand sprayer. I will say this product truly has a high gloss.

Perfect Glossy Clear coat
I recently tried the KBS Coatings Diamond Finish Clear Coat on my car, and I must say, I am thoroughly impressed with the results. This clear coat not only provided exceptional protection but also delivered a breathtaking shine that exceeded my expectations. The application process was surprisingly straightforward. The clear coat came in an easy-to-use aerosol can, allowing me to apply it evenly and effortlessly. I appreciated the consistency of the product, as it didn't drip or clump during application, ensuring a smooth finish. Once dried, the Diamond Finish Clear Coat transformed the appearance of my car. Its high gloss finish gave my vehicle a showroom-quality shine that was both eye-catching and professional. The clarity of the coat enhanced the color of my car, making it look sleeker and more vibrant. But it's not just about looks – the KBS Coatings Diamond Finish Clear Coat also provided exceptional protection. It acted as a shield against UV rays, preventing my car's paint job from fading over time. Additionally, it protected against minor scratches and abrasions, keeping my car looking new for longer. Another aspect I appreciated about the Diamond Finish Clear Coat is its durability. Even after countless car washes and exposure to different weather conditions, the clear coat remained intact, without any signs of peeling or chipping. This is a testament to its long-lasting performance and ability to withstand daily wear and tear. Furthermore, the clear coat was quick to dry, allowing me to enjoy my newly coated car within a short period. Its fast-drying formula ensures minimal waiting time between application and driving, which is a huge plus for those with busy schedules. Overall, I highly recommend the KBS Coatings Diamond Finish Clear Coat to anyone seeking a reliable and high-quality solution for their clear coat needs. It offers excellent protection, a stunning shine, and remarkable durability, making it a worthwhile investment for car enthusiasts and professionals alike. Trust me, you won't be disappointed with the results!

I’m a rube with a brush
I’m not very experienced when it comes to epoxy. Initially, I applied this to the side of a steel desk, neglecting to realize that it stays fluid for awhile as it dries it will gradually cascade down with gravity and form sagging waves on your work. Horizontal application is definitely the way to go. After painstaking removal of my initial mistake, I reapplied it and received acceptable results as you can see in my pictures. It’s not perfect, the surface is still somewhat uneven when applied with a cheap brush, and there are minor air bubbles trapped in the dried coating which may be user error somehow. I may apply another coat to see if that helps smooth out surface imperfections. After curing, I feel confident that the coating will be very robust and offer the utmost protection. I also believe that a spray gun would probably offer a much higher level of precision and quality with application, and could probably have achieved a mirror finish, though probably not with my sad level of expertise. Overall I am very satisfied and will be buying another can. I had some trepidation in ordering this product because of the reviews mentioning that their lids could not be removed, but after not carefully securing the lid and accidentally knocking it over and spilling part of the can’s contents on the floor and there on the lip of the can, I was still able to open it without issue even having epoxy dried over the outside of the can. I give the product 5 stars, and my skill 1 star.

Quality product, with some caveats.
KBS Diamond is a pretty well known name in the world of fishing lure painting. It's a fantastic waterproof topcoat sealant and has a fantastic transparency when cured fully. It's very glossy and shiny without looking "oily" like some top coats and a properly cured coat will be smooth to the touch without any rough texture or grit. The one drawback is that the can is VERY prone to drying the liquid out even if you try your best to seal it properly after every use. This results in about a month shelf life before it becomes a giant clear rubbery puck inside the can. As such, if you're going to buy this, consider it ESSENTIAL to have a sturdy airtight container to transfer it to, optimally one that is a dark light-absorbing color to preserve even longer. As long as you do that, this product will absolutely suit your needs.

Bullet proof
I use it on tools and fishing lures I custom paint. If you don't use a tool, such as a hammer or pliers, down here in Florida, they rust in a hurry. I have wire brushed numerous tools to clean off the rust, then use KBS. it gives them a glassy sheen and protects from them rusting again. I also use it to clear coat custom painted fishing lures as it is waterproof and hard as a rock. Great stuff in my opinion.

Avoid this for automotive
This is not a replacement for an automotive clear coat. *I do not claim to be a professional as i don’t do this for a living. But I have been painting cars for years. This is the 4th full paint for 2023*. I have now sprayed the same vehicle with this product twice with basically the same initial result. I have tried every hvlp have, pattern and flow from a 1-2tip between 15-40psi reduced from 0-50% on test panels with the same issue. 25psi at 20% reduced is the only reasonable lay. Can spray dry or wet, straight or ultra reduced. By the time it starts to flow out your 1 molecule away from a run. The first time I used it I ended up with runs everywhere. After wet sanding the thicknesses were so different throughout I had hazing everywhere. I said maybe my fault sanded back to nothing shot a base coat and tried it again. A few hundred dollars and hours upon hours later I’m left with a similar result but without runs and massive orange peel. This product piles on to cover and does not flow out on the panel like off the shelf automotive clear. After another 8hrs of wet sanding I will update with photos. The most similar material I would compare this to is liquid rubber. Even after the 1st go sat for weeks to set up it was still SOFT. Any solvent within a mile will melt this stuff right back to liquid basically. AVOID THIS PRODUCT AT ALL COSTS. Obviously the fishing lue world loves it. I thought it would be an ultra durable 1 part clear that would make life easier. It’s not up to par for use in the auto body world.

There’s nothing else like it! Amazing!
I hired someone to paint my countertops and they used an acrylic top coat. After about a year and a half, the paint and top coat started to peel. I re-painted the counters and used diamond finish for the top coat. It’s beautiful! I would recommend brushing straight from the can only, as this product begins to set up quickly. Use the softest brush you can find and brush it on a bit thicker than if you were painting. Pouring it into another container for rolling, would cause it to set up too quickly. Ventilate your work area well during and a day or two after using this product. It dries fast, but needs at least 72 hours to dry to a hard finish. It’s an amazing finish! I am very satisfied! The price point is worth every penny and the seller ships immediately. Get ya some!!

As a concrete floor sealer the instructions fall short
You want to thin this stuff for sure... I called the manufacturer and they werent as vague as the instructions and tried to offer more than was written, but even then- it fell short. If youve ever done an epoxy floor- throw out all the knowledge youve gained for the application process 1 it mentions you can thin it (thin it no questions asked 10-20% xylene or #1 from KBS) 2 put it in a paint tray (dont pour lines on the floor) 3 high density foam roller (mohair roller) 4 dont load the roller (use as little as possible) it mentions ideal temps and moisture levels (if you cant achieve those dont expect 2-4 hour recoat times- its not going to happen: expect 1-2 days between coats) 5 thinner is better for coats but with low moisture and or low heat- expect 1-2 days between coats; more if really low on either scale... 6 smells forever 7 the lid is trash and they know it, order hat you need and between 20-50% more if coating concrete (order containers that fir the quantity you need because youre not going to be expecting to be able to reuse them) 8 you can get more life out of a can if you dont need a lot at a time by poking a hole in the lid and putting a metal screw with a rubber washer on it (acts like a cork and another for for air and plug it when done) 9 i only got bubbles on the concrete- the area where i didnt was the relief cracks i filled prior with epoxy and it looks like glass (generally you get bubble from off gassing when your layers are too thick- honestly i think its because i didnt thin it) 10 i had a little bit of left over from y first gallon so i walked around with a foam brush and painted random bits on my faded car- they look amazing now, streak free, sag free, wave free, and super glossy (I did half a headlight (going to regret that im sure), half a spoiler, my whole driver side mirror, and a corner of my rain diverter)- no bubbles wither and if you do get some; let it cure till hard and you can buff them down and reapply, buff down to even and polish it 11 oh, cure time to recoat just needs to be done within 7 days even though it says 8 hours [directly from the reps mouth] (but im assuming the timer really starts after you cant see a finger print since thats suppose to happen within 2-4hrs on avg with ideal conditions while this product can have its challenges i can speak to its ability- it was put donw in one of our factorie like 15+ years ago; with an avg of 2000-3000 people walking on i multiple times a day including forklifts and heavy electric transport carts and it still looks brand new- it gets burnished (polished) about once a month with a highspeed propane burnisher and its looks just as good as when it was put down. extra note- if you prime your concrete or seal it first with rust seal; ive been told it helps mitigate bubbles; again something not included in tips/tricks (my concrete was ground, vacuumed, rinsed, cleaned with KBS Klean, rinsed (this process was done for hours), and moisture checked to be extra dry for my coating- all your standard steps for epoxy were followed and their products were used (finished 1st coat thursday at 4pm and it was ready for 2nd coat 4pm saturday and 3rd coat was ready monday morning at 4am after hanging a non element exposed heater in the workshop all day and night to maintain 70 degrees)

Works great. Simple to use. Doesn't need to mix with hardener.
Great product. I used an air paint sprayer to apply works great. No need to mix with thinner. No need for hardener. No need to measure. Just spray then let it dry. Give a glossy finish without yellowing. Very happy with it. Highly recommended.

Great Hard Clear Coat.
Love this product. Drying time is slow but after a few days it’s so clear, shiny and hard as rock. Just as it stated. I airbrush it also and it air brushes perfectly. Just gotta mix with the thinner for that product and only use about 10% thinner. Thing I don’t like is the price. So so expensive for just a pint.

Strong but great!
I used this for my paint pour painting for my gloss after it dried. It’s like glass. Much more expensive than I like but I bought as a test to see if I’d like it. I won’t buy again as there are many cheaper products out there to use that aren’t as stink and toxic.
