The snap clips work just fine, they do have a plastic overlay on the underside of the clip, which snag a little through my very fine hair. But you can cut it off if you want to have the bare metal,. I bought these because my hair is so super fine from Covid hair loss, that nothing holds my hair down to my scalp except these, easy to use open, move through the hair, and snap closed. My hair is so thin I just make a tiny skinny little ponytail at the back bottom of my head twist and turn up and snap two of these over the skinny amount of hair that I have left, and they stay in, the fine hair doesn’t slip out too much. I like the flexible coating on the outside of the clips. Other types that have the hard plastic attached usually just break off, don’t last long at all but I expect these will last a while.

These are nice big clips. Mine came with an entire clip missing from the factory sealed package. Like why? Cant return or refund and I got directed to Scunci to send them a massage. Not sure if its worth the hassle.

Not rusting and made better

9 clips, sturdy, with no slip grip just what I was looking for. I really like the black and brown color. not too thrilled about the one that is clear/light cream . two are rusty, That's why only 3 stars.

Of all the "plastic-coated" metal hair clips (and I've tried them all), these Scunci's last longer and work best for my moderately thick, medium-to-long fine hair. It's plastic, and I'd rather use side-combs if I could get them well-crafted as in days of yore. But absent those, these work. Depending on what I'm doing and the weather, I wear my hair in a twist/up-sweep, pony-tailed, barely 'waved' and down, or an in-between curly look sometimes clipped away from my face, and they're handy for either the prep work or finished look, except for dress up occasions. Just wish you could get them in one color instead of the variety packs.

Hand handicap easy to use

The quality is fine. However, if you have Thick hair it doesn't hold well. More for decoration than utilitarian. Even with a small amount of hair it slips down.
