Q: Will this product prevent entry by slugs

Yes, the vent cover mesh is small (2mm x 2mm approx) so will prevent slugs from gaining access. The vent covers are designed to block all but the tiniest of insects.

Q: What screws and drill size go with it?

The vent covers are supplied with PZ1 3.0 x 30 screws and wall plugs. The drill bit size will vary depending on whether you are drilling into masonry or wood/plasterboard. For masonry a 5.5 should do the trick. Alternatively, adhesive can be used to attach the vents if you don't wish to use the screws.

Q: These are about 1 cm bigger than the air bricks, can they be fastened to the surrounding wall and will that still seal around the brick?

The vent covers are designed to be slightly larger than a standard airbrick to allow for fixing onto the surrounding wall. They can be fixed with either the provided screw kit or a suitable low modular adhesive inserted into the dedicated adhesive track on the rear. Either fixing method will provide a strong seal that will prevent rodent or insect access.
