Very well made and very good quality watch

Bulova is a beloved, old school American watch brand for a reason. And this watch does not disappoint. It’s utilitarian vintage style with a nice light ivory face and military time, makes this field watch a must own classic. The domed crystal really brings it up a notch; a quality that makes this watch classier than many other standard field style watches you see on the market. Fittings are brushed stainless with a polished finish which gives it a higher end industrial feel. The lum is good and bright and the time has been accurate to within a few seconds per day. An added touch of class, the sweep second hand sets this apart from the average Seiko or Timex of similar style. Some reviewers haven’t been a fan of the band, but I actually love it and feel it suits this watch perfectly. It’s soft leather in a nato style with fittings that match the case. Speaking of the case, it’s really the grail size at 38mm which makes it large enough to read, without being fashion watch trendy. It’s a field watch so expect it to be thicker than a dress watch. But it’s light weight and not clunky to wear. All in all, this will be on my wrist more often than some of the other more expensive watches in my rotation. It’s an absolute classic, simple, elegant and timeless. Seller was quick and shipped to my current remote location via FedEx. You can’t go wrong with the Bulova Hack as this is a really great watch for the money. UPDATE Still like the leather band although it is soft and has stretched a bit, which is to be expected. I’ll end up swapping it out for something a bit more sturdy.

I highly recommend this Bulova watch. It's my first Bulova and I am more impressed than I thought I would be, (which is a feeling not realized with most products these days). The hack feature allows for easy second hand synch, the dial is easy to read and the luminous parts seem to work well. The strap is very comfortable. The automatic jewel movement is easy to use and there's no worries about a battery that could fail. Like a black suit that works equally well at a party or a funeral, this watch looks great with casual wear or formal. It's a quality product that leaves you thinking you paid too little. I am not easy to impress, yet I am with this purchase.

I saw "the hack" on a WWII movie and said to myself "I didn't know Bulova made military watches". I had to do some research and learned that they were quite popular during the war. Due the second hand stopping immediately when the crown was pulled. This allowed for synchronicity in missions. Enough about the history let's get into the watch itself. Bulova is owned by Citizen and the watch has the quality of a Citizen watch. The case is small if you are used to big watches. This reason for the case being small is also part of its functionality, the smallness of the case is supposed to allow for a tactical feel. You can wear the watch on the inner portion of wrist and it doesn't feel bulky. The moment is nice and the second hand has a slight tick to it, thought it appears to be a smooth sweeping motion. The Arabic numbers an the face are large and the do glow. The 24 hr numbers stand out on the black face, but do not glow. The automatic feature is nice and after a couple of shakes the watch begins to move. If you want it to keep time I would recommend a watch winder. If you don't want to spend the money it take a few seconds to set the time. My only gripe about the watch is actually the band. It is in the tradition of the NATO strap but isn't exactly. If you want to hang a compass on it, the compass has to be tiny. All the modern compasses are way to big a bulky for this strap. Also it's made in China. For the price I would prefer a softer leather. The crown does adorn the Bulova logo and the traditional Bulova namesake is scrawled across the face giving it an antique feel. Be aware this watch is water resistant. I would not swim with it, but it can withstand heavy rain and sweat, the backing is a screw down backing with a gasket. The crystal is clear and pretty tough. I haven't put it through the ringer, though I rarely take off my watches during the week. If you are thinking about this watch it is a great way to show off your historical knowledge and it is a fun way to show your love for military history. It is not a showy peice but does make a statement.

Adorei o relógio, bonito, leve, mostrador claro, pulseira em couro bem macia. Só o botão de ajuste que não é dos melhores, ao apertar de volta, mexe o ponteiro de minutos, tornando o ajuste não muito preciso, mas nada que prejudique.
