Flashlight: Press the circular button on the side of the flashlight to turn it on. Press it again to switch through the different light modes. Lighter: Open the cap and press the circular button on the side of the flashlight to turn the plasma lighter on. The plasma will shut off automatically after 7 seconds for safety (you can immediately reignite it if needed). DO NOT take the flashlight apart – the internal battery is built into the device and all components are carefully assembled in order to make this item waterproof. Plasma will shut off after 7 seconds for safety reasons, but it can be immediately reignited again if needed.
