You Need to Buy All 3 For CFA Exam Test Prep
Wiley has always been the publisher of these CFA test prep books. My husband used prior Wiley editions after completion of his MBA and while working in the investment industry getting ready to take the CFA exam. If you are taking the CFA exam you will need all three volumes. This is designed for the professional not for a layperson who wants to know more about the stock market and investing. This is the latest edition which I ordered as my husband wanted the latest editions for reference and to use as texts to teach our college-aged sons. My finance major son may be going on to get his MBA and he is already working in the finance industry. These Wiley test prep books are considered The Bible for self-study for the CFA exam and are trusted and solid resources for test prep. 5 stars = Love It.

Must-haves for CFA prep
Definitely not light reading for dabbling in financial management, but very good solid prep material for CFA exams. Get the whole series - 3 volumes to adequately prep for the exams. These are good solid workbooks which will help organize study and preparation for the CFA tests. Volume 1 covers portfolio management process. I personally prefer the printed books to the ebooks, but it depends on your learning/study style. Ebooks are easier to search and quickly find specific things, but print versions are better for taking notes, adding tabs, bookmarks, etc. in my opinion.

Style Challenging, Delivery Dull
If you are looking for a user friendly guide to portfolio management look elsewhere. If you are a financial professional serious about mastering the subject, this is a good place to start. Delivery is dry but coverage is comprehensive. Best used with the workbooks they have available. The style is, frankly, more challenging than the subject. Worthwhile for those with the background and motivation.
