If You Know Up Front...
So yeah, this double bowl setup is very aesthetically pleasing, easy to clean, and hard for a small animal to tip over. That's why I bought it. This was purchased as a combo food/water bowl for my two toy-breed dogs (Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, and a Morkie). My goal was to have a feeding area that was pretty, and would foil my Morkie's attempts to "relocate" his food bowl throughout the day (I swear, he's actually managed to lose bowls...like socks in the dryer). On that note, this bowl set hits the sweet spot. After a few days he gave up trying to "pick up" the glass bowls. Now here's the bad part...and it's only bad if you don't fully comprehend the purpose of these bowls. You will be refilling these bowls A LOT! I realized when I bought them that I was going to have to put up with giving the dogs more food/water periodically throughout the day. I was prepared for the downside. I was also prepared for the cost. You want stylish "dinnerware" for your pet? Want it to match your appliances? Want it to not fall over? It's gonna cost you. And on that note, it's not for everyone. It's a luxury purchase for people who are either drunk-shopping on Amazon at 3am, or a sober purchase for someone who weighed the pro's/con's and decided it was worth the extra money/trips to refill. Personally, I'd buy it again in a heartbeat. It really is lovely!

Great for older cat
I have a rescue group 8 yr little boy named Mr. Cattywompus. He has a tail broken in 2 places and a neurological problem in his hips and rear legs that must have resulted from an animal bite or car. He needs to use his forearms to balance himself and he didn't want to eat with his head down. This feeder is elevated at a slant that allows the food to collect at the lower end. After 9 mos of trying to find out what he WILL eat I have found in the last 2 weeks that he will chow down on Tikicat velvet mousse paste like packets which I thin out with warm water to a soup like consistency. The glass bowls are terrific !!! They are large enough for a "soup" serving and are very easy to clean. I like the transparency of the bowl so I can easily see if he has eaten his dinner from a distance. I use the 2nd bowl for his dry food. (after 6months he has finally liked Fussicats dry chicken and turkey. ) I like the clean lines of the feeder and it is easy to clean. This is important because he also is feline positive so cleanliness is paramount. I hope this will help you. Everything is finally coming together for us. It can take time and patience.. Please consider the old cats up for adoption. They need you.

That tilt, tho
Every few months I look for a way to improve the way my cat eats and drinks. I have upgraded a few times, based on height of bowls, angle of his head while eating, amount of air I hear him gulping trying to eat, ease of eating and drinking. This is the first one (height) that he is able to eat and drink from without an angle to his head or neck (see photo). He is drinking more as he seems way more comfortable. Hadda sneak pic, as he wouldn't let me take one right in front of it, lol.Because of that tilt, this is the first one that he is able to eat without struggling to get dry food from back of bowl. It fills up at bottom and angle means no air gulping as he can eat from the pile accumulated at bottom, as opposed to trying to suck in food from back of bowl. The tilt means a little less water in there, but it still takes about 7oz with that tilt (almost 2 times recommended amount of 2-4oz daily; my cat drinks more than that, so I just add more when I see its low). Glass makes it easy to see any particles settled in there, so I can change water out quicker.I believe this may be last upgrade I need, as it has addressed all prior concerns with other feeders.

The bowls are not that sturdy and hard to clean
I have 2 of these feeders and all but 1 glass bowl has cracked/chipped. I’ve contacted the company to get replacement bowls and heard nothing. So basically it’s not useful to me at this point. If your cat eats wet food, you have to wash these often as the leftover food sticks and is difficult to remove. I do like the elevated nature of these however.

Not for me
Got this set for my cat but I am not in love with it. One of the dishes came chipped. It is chipped under the lip and could cause an issue when holding the bowl. I decided that I could get over it and use that one as the food dish since I remove the water dish more often and that would minimize interactions with the chipped glass. My next big issue is the size of the bowls, which are huge for a cat. I'm sure many others have the same issue with their cat as I do, if the cat can see the bottom of the dish, it assumes it needs more food. And for my cat her way of letting me know she wants more food is to revenge pee. So, in order to cover the entire bottom of the dish I need to put a lot of extra food in, which I do not like the idea of since I'm sure it will just become stale. I originally went with this feeder because it has a clean, modern look. I love the appearance of the metal finish and it has glass bowls which I prefer. I do not, however, like the sound my cat's name tag makes when brushing against the metal (I did not even consider this would be an issue). Overall I feel this is a great pet feeder, just not the right fit for me or my cat.

Gorgeous, but raises bowls only 1 inch from floor and bowl design makes feeding difficult
This feeder is beautiful and easy to clean, and it seems durable. No dangerous sharp edges anywhere (the reviews about sharp edges are older reviews; the manufacturer has since then improved the design). However, it has a few major flaws (at least, as far as my cat is concerned):1) It raises the bowls only 1 inch from the floor (i.e. not as much as you're lead to believe)2) The bowls are deep, but narrow (4.25 in.); some cats mind that3) The slanted design doesn't seem to improve feeding (at least, in my cat's case). Half the food is left in the bowl after feeding, and my cat can't get to it.I feel it might be better suited to kittens than adult cats.As far as my "older" cat is concerned, I think I'm better off placing regular cat dishes on some sort of 2–3 inch high non-slip platform. Working on that...
