Digital Door Lock M210 Mechanical Keyless Deadbolt Double Combination, Satin Nickel

This is a great lock! I have owned two. The first lasted many years (and I have a large family, so it was used constantly), and was installed by a locksmith. The second is a replacement. The install is difficult. I had the advantage of "going to school" on the first install (I paid close attention as I took the first one off). You can expect many years from one of these.

This lock is great. I love that I don’t have to connect to any apps or change any batteries.

Precision easy to operate lock. I purchased to replace the doorknob latch and separate deadbolt installed on a steel outdoor gate. "Secret" combination in box did not match settings on either side of lock and inside and outside did not match each other. Required an extra hour of messing about to make the lock work properly. Kit included extra "pins" if you want another digit or two. With this little 12 button lock; - 4 button combination creates 495 possible choices. - 5 buttons creates 792 possible. - 6 buttons creates 924 possible. - 7 buttons back to 792, same as 5. This surprisingly small 12 button lock will not cover both holes of a conventional latch + deadbolt installation. The larger 14 button version may be a better choice to cover more in the door + will provide 4X the possible combinations. Installation is not elegant. Old deadbolt holes were covered temporarily with perforated steel plates from hardware store. Will replace with properly sized 1/8" stainless or aluminum backing plate when time permits.

I love this lock. I bought the kind that has numeric key pads on both sides for my backyard gate. It is great and well worth the price. If you have ever installed a lock on a door with existing holes, you can install this lock in minutes. This lock is smaller than it looks on a website, but when you hold it feels very solid and heavy duty. It is made from thick solid steel except for black rubber pads. Rubber parts are thin gaskets between the door and the lock and , I believe are mostly decorative. Overall construction is high quality and it performs great. It comes with easy to follow instructions tools and parts for changing combination or switching it from left-hand to right hand door. I performed both, it took me minutes and was easy for me. I love the fact that it is weather-proof and is 100% mechanical. No batteries or power required. If you live in colder climates you should know that batteries may not work in 20 degrees or below weather.

warning: instruction is for M210 or M210EZ Not for this M210 DC. Similar but not exactly the same, very confusing. Combine the steps of both M210 and EZ and use your common sense. Quite a few parts are not for this model too, like the extra rubber pads and some screws. The most confusing part is that I ended up not use the brass support pin which was mentioned in the instruction of both models. I think you cannot use it with this model with double combination. Other than the extremely poor instructions. I have to give it five stars for the quality and design. Very solid!

Easy to install in place of existing keyed deadbolt. Works very well.

We were looking for a keyless lock for the gate to our back yard and the locksmith recommended this lock. It seems to be the perfect solution since it's not electronic and will be exposed to the desert sun every day. Easy to operate and very secure.

Probably wonderful as a single-sided lock, useless as a double-sided lock on a security gate. I purchased this for the security gate to our back yard. This lock arrived set for a right-handed door (i.e., where hinges are on right side as you face door/gate). The instructions said to remove the back plate and make a simple change for left-handed doors. Easy, right? Except one of the screws I needed to remove was completely stripped and could not be removed. Same for one of the screws that needed to be removed from the back plate to change the combination. I pushed ahead thinking I could just attach the "inside" plate on the outside face of the gate, effectively making the lock work as though it were a right-handed door install. The actual install was simple swap of the existing deadbolt and drilling one more hole in the gate. BUT. But. Because I could not reset the code, I realized that I had locked myself out after I installed the lock. Then I quickly realized I just had to take out the two screws holding the face plate on and then I could just open the gate. If you buy a double-sided lock, it is presumably for security purposes and simply unscrewing two screws in NOT at all secure. At this point I'm using a simple combination padlock since this is my second attempt at finding a decent double-sided combination lock.
