There ia regulation related to the inout voltage. I have this installed on my 36v golf cart and it runs the lights, horn, and radio. The voltage on the cart varies based on load and the accessories continue to operate. I hope this answers your question.

It shouldn't affect it. Your car charges at a rate of 14+ volts and it doesn't affect anything.

voltage can be between 40-60v dc

Nothing to worry about. If properly wired the only thing you should wire the converter to is a fuse block. The cart battery charging system only goes to the cart batteries.
