Update: 6 months later the speakers don't work. There's really no reason either because I live in California, the land of no rain.Uclear is sending me a replacement. It works very well for music and calls. Callers can't even tell your on a motorcycle doing 90 mph on a loud harley dyna; Not that I would ever go above the speed limit.Quick troubleshooting guide:1. Max out the volume on your phone, then adjust the volume via the bluetooth. These are separate volume controls, so jut because your phone says it max doesn't mean the bluetooth is max volume.2. Make sure to place speaker directly at ear, with the speakers as close to your ear as possible. There are spacer provided to do this. This will help keep the volume loud with less distortion.3. If you don't hear anything coming out of your headset when you turn it on, simply push the cord in harder. It has 3 grooves there that need to create a seal to stop water, but inevitably cause friction when tryi my to plug in the unit

The volume can be painful if you are not careful
My first impression is that this is one powerful headset. The volume can be painful if you are not careful .Being used to weaker units I have used in the past, I almost blew my eardrums the first time I hit play for music. I have no doubt that this unit can be heard at turnpike speeds. The ability to upgrade firmware right from the CLEAR link phone App is a big plus. Even though this set doesn't have FM radio onboard. I would recommend this set to my friends. for FM radio I use the Next Radio App. and it runs a solid as satellite radio with no fades or static from any station you choose. I will comment at a later date on long term reliability. Almost six month later the unit and the battery is giving me problems. Will not take a enough of a charge to turn off the red light. I have contacted customer support, and will see if they can help. After emailing them from their website I have not gotten any response. Over one week later and,So far customer support is lacking. I will attempt to play the phone tag game and see if that's any better. After being ignored by their website email system and playing the telephone tag game,I have given up on their customer service. I have taken the unit apart to find the battery is soldered in place . I managed to find a battery on line and have done the replacement myself. I have changed my previous 5 star rating down to 3 do to the lack of customer service. A two year warranty is worthless if the seller hides from customer problems.Be sure to check a sellers service history before you spend big bucks.

After 3 months of use
I went from a Sena to the Uclear Amp pro. My decision was based around having something that had better sound quality. I did some research and heard that the Amp Pro was king in this arena. I would say the differences between my sena and uclear are definitely discernible as you can hear a higher quality of sound through the uclear. The following are my opinions of the downside.1. Have any of you used the 99 cent Walmart headphones before? The wiring from the unit to the speakers feels like that thin cheap cable. After three months it gave out and you have to put pressure on one side of the base in order to get sound to the speakers. This makes it unusable. Normally I wouldn't really care for that as you can still probably replace the cable, the downside is you will receive another cheap cable that doesn't live up to the ruggedness you would expect for something attached to a helmet that travels highway speeds.2. The base that connects the amp pro to your helmet is unstable and the unit falls off of it all the time.3. Not a huge deal but the buttons themselves are hard to learn. They are small and not discernible by touch. You get it after awhile but there is a learning curve. The charging port is also unique. In conclusion on the interface there are just much better systems out there.4. It takes quite a bit of time to connect to my Sena buddies headsets even when using the universal intercom mode. You actually have to do it a different way which is Bluetooth connect through the Sena and not use the Uclears universal mode, this will tether the two (forget groups).Final thought- Get a Sena and upgrade the speakers. This headset user interface just isn't there. I would try to get a warranty replacement on the cable but I don't want to have to endure losing it again down the road since the cable is so thin and cheap.

Works well but buttons are a bit fiddly
I am using this helmet intercom inside of my full face mask snowmobile helmet. Because I am the first one in my riding group to get a helmet intercom, I have yet to try the intercom feature while riding. I have used the intercom system to make phone calls and the call recipient says the audio is clear with no background noise. I am using this intercom primarily with an older iPhone and if I use the button to stop the music playback (sometimes accidentally with gloves on) I cannot get the music to restart using the appropriate button push. I have found that activating Siri and telling her to restart music playback works okay but I am disappointed that the button push does not work as intended.Music playback is fairly decent quality given the challenging listening environment. I find a 40 minute trip seems to be much shorter when listening to music. I am hoping that some of my riding group will soon get compatible intercoms so we can stay in contact while riding, both for the geek factor of having intercom technology but also for safety. When we get some additional intercoms, if someone in the group encounters a problem while riding, they can alert the other members. Winter can be very unforgiving and the group could be ten or fifteen miles away before we stop to make sure everyone is still there.Overall, almost a great product and I would recommend it to someone whose use intentions are similar to my own.

Just as advertised, this is actually loud enough to be heard. So far I love it. The sound quality is great and the installation was easy and it works better then any other bluetooth helmet gear i've ever tried.
