Looks cool
I bought this for my 10mm ria 1911. It does not fit. The 10mm has a different barrel bushing setup and the barrel is much thicker than my 45. It does fit on my 45 and my 9mm. I put it on my 9 and it looks nice.

Definitely a tight fit!
A very well machined muzzle brake that replaces the front barrel bushing on my Ruger SR1911!I actually had to spend some time sanding down the outside ring that sheathes in the slide and also had to file down the raised area that turns and locks it into place by a few hairs. Its a bit difficult to explain where I had to sand and file, but I basically had to locate where it kept binding on the locking portion and file it a bit thinner width wise so it could rotate and be flush with the rest of the slide. After I had sanded enough, cleaned it out and added a bit of lube, it now fits perfectly!Getting it on is a bit tricky as you have to simultaneously compress the spring plug down far enough while also fitting on the muzzle brake sideways to sit flush and finally twisting to lock it in place. I suggest using a hex key or something to help compress the spring plug while you fit the brake into place. Getting it off is just as tricky, but just as before, I used a hex key to compress the spring through the hole and twisted it to the point where I could pull it straight off.. careful of that spring plug! Can't wait to take it out to the range!

Was nervous to buy but glad I did
Everyone was right. It was a pain in a half to put on. The part itself wasn't hard to install. Just putting the guide rod, plug and spring back in because the plug wouldn't slide in normally do to the thickness of the muzzle. Had to do some backasswards tricks but it works and I'm happy.

Very tight
Had to sand/file the little peak thing that hold it in I had to get it down where it wasn’t touching the thumb stud thing but after they still pretty tight but it works looks nice I really like it haven’t shot with it though should function fine over all may have to do some work to it but it shouldn’t be anything major

Looks
Really good piece of gear but the killer is off. It’s more of a dark gray.

Finish fit is loose
Is not the same shade of black as the tisas 1911 45cal. Extremely hard to install, you might need to file it down a tad I didn't and the end result is that yes it fits yes it was hard as heck to get on but once it's on it moves slightly in a twisting motion..... would be nice if it was solid fit and the same color but for $45 you're getting $45 worth.

A good fit
It fit my Rock Island Armory 1911 perfectly and worked as expected at the range.

Pretty Decent, Not entirely what I expected
I ordered this for my Rock Island 1911 45 ACP. it has a 5" barrel. It was a little difficult to get on but not entirely too hard. Now taking it apart, that's a different story. The overall color was a little dimmer than I thought. Not sure if that's the correct wording. But, I expected it to me more of a gloss black color. The carbon Steel one that I ordered was more of a matte finish. It still matches the FDE that's on the 1911. However, I videotaped the muzzle flash that's present, and it's exactly what I was looking for. The handling and the recoil is slightly improved, but I think more people buy these things for aesthetics rather than handling.
