Leupold Alumina Flip Back Lens Cover 32-33Mm 59035

The back of their packaging says the lens cap lays flat when open; it does not. I got a VX Freedom 2-7, 33mm, and these lens caps don't fit correctly on the eyepiece side of the scope but fit well on the objective end. Leupold says to use this 59035 on the objective end and their 59055 on the eyepiece end. Material and finish is excellent.

As advertised. Diffcult to flip up, may be due to it's being new. I recived two styles. One has a push tab that filps the cover open quickly and effortlessly. This one has two small tabs on each bottom half of the cover that are diffcult to flip. Try to get the correct size, I got the part numbers from Leupold and they were only 50%....

Quite expensive, but solid crafstmanship, screw on tight, magnets work well keeping things locked up, and quickly deploys. Very seamless look vs some other slip on covers. However I've had good results with the cheaper slip on options, but didn't get as many style points for it and the plastic construction of the slip ons more likely to break over time.

While this product seemingly looks well made with a good fit and finish, it is NOT manufactured well. Everything about the flip cap looked great until I tried putting it on my brand new Leupold VX-FREEDOM 2-7x33. The OD threads on the cap are shallow and fit loosely on the ID threaded portion of my scope. Once you tighten it down enough to secure the flip cap from rotating then close the cap, the threads arent even strong enough to prevent it from popping off the scope altogether when trying to flip open the cover. The threads on the cap need to be MUCH longer in order for this to function properly (there is only about 2 threads that actually screw in). Come to find out while examining the package- these are made in Malaysia, ha, go figure.After reading all the 5 star reviews, I can't be sure if I received a defective product that snuck through quality control or what. The only way this would actually work is if I tighten it down with loctite and I'm sure as hell not going to do that. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT.I was also very surprised to open the box and realize this sale was for only ONE cover. Now I have a 50$ paperweight. Seriously disappointed.Butler Creek scope bikini here I come!

I contacted Leupold with scope info and they recommended the front and rear Alumina caps I needed. I did not know at the time, the year of manufacture would make all the difference. In a hurry to get the caps, I ordered and received them from Amazon. They didn't fit. Scope is older than caps are designed for, I now know. Amazon was kind enough to refund my money. Be sure to check your Leupold scope serial number for the date manufactured. I have these caps on other scopes and they fit and work great.

Fit great, works well, did not get 5 stars because the Leopold branding logo does not match the scope and other end cover.

Top quality covers. Expensive for what they are.

Extremely overprjced for what it is.these lense covers work well but are marked up very high from Leupold.I love Leupold optics and belive their scopes are worth the price. BuT these lense covers are a $10-$15 item marked WAY up.
