Worthwhile Investment for your Home Gym
The following is an opinion of a nonprofessional weight lifter and a simple fitness enthusiast:If you’re like me, you’re stuck inside right now and can’t go to your local gym. Or maybe you don’t want to shove out the membership fee and do stuff at home.Whatever the reason, you’re looking for an easy solution to your fitness (specifically strength training) needs at home, and after my first session I was incredibly satisfied with this product (with the additional heavy bands.)The versatility of this product is a lot larger than most people may think, and I was able to easily complete multiple exercises focusing on just arms and shoulders, and with a little creative ingenuity, you can find yourself doing all the fulfilling lifts that you’d ever need for strength training.While I’m still not a massive fan of resistance bands (due to needing to be stretched to reach their tension weight, with this bands needing to be stretched 2.5x their untensioned size according to the packaging), this bar helps make up for the inherit dislikes as it places the bands under tension prior to even getting into form for the lift. It also pushes the bands outward, away from the body to prevent those otherwise painful hair pulls you’d get just straight pulling the bands from your feet, and that cumbersome feeling like you have overtly restricted movement (though some is still present due to not being able to maneuver much without the fear of the band slipping if you have it under a pressure point like your feet.)The major benefit to resistance bands over free weights (think barbells and metal plates) though is the fact that the resistance is through the entire motion, and you can’t ‘cheat’ a lift with a burst of momentum, forcing your reps to be smooth and effective, which can also reduce injuries. It’s especially good for those who have joint problems, like I do (thanks mother Army.)Another major bonus is the simplicity of the product. You have two band hooks that fit two bands each, allowing you to mount four total bands. In theory, this gives you a max capacity of 160lbs of resistance at max tension with the basic kit, or 230lbs with the heavy kit (I think?) I’ve already mixed my bands up so the product page will probably be a better source. Also, the compact nature of this whole system is a huge plus, with the bar itself being about 4’ long, and the bands coming in a nice case, or cases with the heavy set.Overall, while the price is heftier than I would otherwise like, the investment will save me a gym membership when tied with simple body weight exercises and a good old fashion walk/jog/run. In addition to, you can also just straight up use the bands without the bar, allowing for even more versatility. Add some handles you can get for cheap that work with just about any resistance band, and you’ll be set for a home fitness solution, in my humble opinion.

Really good full body workout equipment
This is a great piece of workout equipment. It's very portable and can work your entire body with multiple exercises per body part. The bands do offer a different resistance compared to free weights being you cant use momentum on the band. This gives you a great pump. I got 4- 90 lb bench band which every body who has any strength will need to get if you plan on doing bench or deadlifts.I can rep out 360 pounds for 15 with the gorilla bow and couldn't bench that once right now with free weights, so the weights are not the same. Squats are really hard to do with any weight. Trying to get the bar over your head while it's under your feet limits the weight. 2-50 lb bands is hard to get in position but is a much weight as I can . All in all I highly recommend, its a great change up to weights and gyms.

Very useful piece of fitness equipment
I have a decent home gym with a good set of dumbbells and more, but was looking to add to that. I like simple workouts usually with 3-4 moves and I had started incorporating some bands into my routines. The Gorilla Bow was appealing as the consensus was that the bar and bands were of high quality and I found a fair amount of videos showing a variety of workouts. Once I saw a good sale I jumped on it getting the Heavy bands and adding 2 of the 90 lb short bands.Initial Pros: Everything seems solid and very well made. I was worried about stretching fully stretching these bands, but no problems. This doesn't take up much space; I just hang it up. There are some good videos on YT about using it and through Gorilla. You really can get a great workout and it's bit different from free weights and a good compliment to bodyweight exercises.Initial cons: The bow is pretty long so hopefully your exercise space isn't really tight. You can fit multiple bands, but it seems like they should have made the notches a bit larger to ease attachment. You also need to be careful attaching the stronger bands. It's best to step on one end of the bow, but there is not a lot of surface area to fit your foot on so you need to be sure you've secured it. It can take a while figuring out which bands to use for each exercise as compared to free weights. I almost wonder if there should be even more bands of varying length offered although that would take even more time to figure out.All in all, I do recommend this as you can create some great exercise routines. I think the price could be a bit lower given what's included, but it's reasonable these days compared to the cost of other products. If I ever get back to traveling I may consider the travel version although it still looks to be like too much to carry.

Good Purchase
I was really excited when I was doing some research on the x3 bar and I found this Gorilla Bow for a third of the price. The bow is really sturdy, as it’s made of iron, and comes with a solid sturdy pair of resistance bands. I was excited to give this thing a try on back, chest, and bicep day in particular. Back for rows, chest for bench press and arms for bicep curls. I will say, I think you’ll be hard pressed to find a better bicep bar than this. I’ve only used it for one bicep workout and it’s basically the exact same type of resistance as a barbell at the gym. I was sore the day after back day as well. But now I am searching for an alternative for bench press. I put as many bands as I could (4) on my bow at a time for my bench press, and felt little to no resistance, which was a bit disappointing. It’s quarantine and I don’t want my bench numbers that I’ve worked so hard for all these years to go down the drain. But for biceps and back, this thing is a no brainer. I would give it about 4 out of 5 stars overall. The sturdiness of this piece of equipment I’m exceptionally surprised at, and it’s great for anyone who has the money that’s looking to add some equipment to their home gym. However, I’m going to keep looking for bench press alternatives as my bow didn’t do much for me in that department.

Well worth the money!
I’m a 46 y/o male that has been training hardcore since the age of 14. Started strength training in HS to become a better athlete and continued a rigorous training schedule throughout my Marine Corps career. Currently I have a huge Garage Gym that’s outfitted with almost everything a commercial gym would have. I have a couple group fitness boot camp style classes that I instruct weekly and a few clients for 1 on 1 sessions. I said all of that to preface that I have basically used any & every fitness tool available. But, as I’ve aged I’ve noticed my joints, all over my body have taken abeating. I’ve endured injuries & have used bands for years now. BUT!!! After watching FB ads about this Gorilla Bow for a couple of months I decided to pull the trigger on it. And beings I’ve lifted heavy and still do sometimes I ordered the system that came with 8 bands, I also ordered the Heavy Bands (a set each of 80 & 90 lb bands) and also the short 90 lb bands.. I’ve loaded this thing up with 4 90lb bands for chest presses. 2 short & 2 regular length and I can honestly say this thing gives some serious resistance and gives me one helluva training session! I keep it with a Bodylastics stackable resistance band set in my Man Cave with the intent of getting in a few extra training sessions before work each week but have found myself feeling my body working more in those sessions than it is during my gym sessions. My only con with it is that it’s hard to set up and get under the bar with a heavier resistance on squats so I just add more reps. In summary, if you are wanting a legit, portable gym with minimal footprint..... Invest in one of these Gorilla Bow’s!
