Riding High: The Stories that Jupiter's Travels Didn't Tell

Outstanding writing just like poetry itself. Thank you for the journey. I really enjoyed the longer version of this story and life.

This is an excellent read. If you're a fna of Ted Simon and his around the world trips, then this expands in the Jupiter's travels series.

Although I found the order of the chapters to be confusing, I did enjoy reading about Ted's life and his travels through South America.

Refreshingly self-revealing, Ted Simon is an honest broker for the truth of his own experience. Delightful reading. A captivating sequel to his first triumph, Jupitor's Travels, this book fills in the details so well. It captures Simon's interior journey which occured during his 4 years on the road and afterwards. There were so many questions when his first book ended, and they are nicely addressed in his second. I'd love to spend a week listening to this guy's take on a milliion things...

Second book on Ted Simon's world trip. Takes in the bits that Jupiters travels didn't cover. Also describes his life before and after the trip. Not the same feel good factor as Jupiter's travels though. Essential reading for anybody who enjoyed his earlier books.

Interesting book, didn't flow as well as I expected from a journalist but a good read and some very interesting places and experiences. He certainly did it reasonably hard so full credit to Ted to even attempt such a journey.

The first half is a little slow, but hang in there. By the time you finish it, it will be well worth it. He has a beautiful approach to tying the adventure together with his life after. Better written than his first book.

After getting to know Ted on his origional journey of the '70's has sparked an interest on the what after and the what before. Here it is and very interesting to me as I have paralells in my life as I pass through into my 40's with small kids in the yard and a BMW 1150GSA in the garage.

All the more poignant for me as I met the author this year (2014), and can relate better to this book as I hear him reading it. Fills in a great deal of the personal high's & low's and emotional stuggles faced over the years of Jupiter's travel. As always Ted is a master with the written word.

In these days of numerous travel tomes this stands out as one of the originals. Ted Simons original book called Jupiters Travels is a great read. This follow up is worthwhile once you have read the original.
