Does a great job!
As you can see from my photos, I was well overdue for this replacement filter. When checking my filter early on after purchasing my truck, I noticed there was no filter at all, its like the Dealership decided to pull it out and not replace it during make ready. Anyway, I bought the FRAM and gave it a whirl. I had ZERO idea I was needing a cabin filter THAT BAD. I knew it was time to replace it again, so purchased it, and last night went to install. As you can see I am glad I went ahead and did this simple maintenance. That is just nasty, and I don't smoke! I do roll with my windows down ALOT though, so it sort of makes sense. Great product, easy to install, and works as designed

Excellent for any car, easy to change, and makes a bit difference in the ambience of a cars interior.
Change these yourself and save yourself a TON of money at the dealer. It takes about 5min to do is literally the simplest thing to change in most cars other than the air vent freshener. That will save you upwards of $100 they charge you or add the cost of in the 'maintenance' of your car at a dealer. These work well, but personally would not say are any better at clearing the air than generic filters. Only difference is that they contain charcoal and freshener so do help with eliminating car odor like smoke or food etc but will NOT help get rid of oder in the cars fabric so be warned.

First 2010 VW Routan
No problem installing behind the glove box. Very easy to put in. Fits perfectly. However, I have yet to notice any improved smell. No smell at all from what I can tell. I got one for my Jetta as well, and the same deal. Doesn't appear to have any fragrance or smell of any kind. But good otherwise.

This was terrible timing as my Tinder date was sitting shotgun and ...
BUYER BEWARE; THIS PRODUCT WILL NOT REMOVE FLATULENCE FROM YOUR CAR. I recently installed this in my car and and was excited for a smell-free interior. The carbon in the filter is supposed to effectively eliminate odors. I was leaving the local Chinese restaurant when my stomach suddenly turned inside out. General Tso was trying to get his revenge on me. This was terrible timing as my Tinder date was sitting shotgun and i was hoping to end the night on a high note. I had to think fast and came up with a surefire plan. I changed the climate control to recirculate the air in the cabin, that way the air would HAVE to pass through the carbon filter and eliminate any odor. Confident this would work, i turned the radio up and let the general's call fly. I instantly regretted my plan as the smell hit me immediately. I had to act cool because if i rolled down the window my date would know what i did. Instead, i turned the fan up to the max. I figured that would pull the air through the 'poop-smell eliminator' faster and get rid of it. This didn't happen, at all. Instead, it accelerated the smell through the vents and into my date's face even faster. As she started to choke and gasp for air, i went into full denial mode. I asked her "are you OK, are you choking?" I was trying to pretend like i couldn't tell that my car smelled like the bottom of a porta-potty after the Sturgis rally. She frantically started pressing the window switch to roll the window down, which was locked at the time. As she continued to cough harder and harder I started asking her louder and louder "SHOULD I PULL OVER?! ARE YOU CHOKING?!" She made the executive decision to open the door while we were in motion. We were traveling about 35 MPH at the time, so it wasn't too dangerous. However, it was a testament to dire need for fresh air. At this point i pulled the car over and she got out and caught her breath. The only communication that took place after that was her telling me "take me home." I dropped her off and haven't heard from her since. Does anyone think i should hit her up again?

Have ordered this for my '05 Titan previously and has worked great since the first time I changed it on my own. The first time I tried to change it out on my own was a surprise as to how easy it was to do. It was also a surprise to find out that there was no filter AT ALL in the slot from the time it was changed by Nissan, who previously did the "work" of "changing it out for me" and charging me $70. The second I dropped the door to change it out, I was furious to find it empty. I've never taken my truck to the dealership again. How do you really know that they do ALL of the work that they charge you for. I digress......so again, a great filter and it is really easy enough to do on your own. Save yourself some money on things like this that you can really do on yourself.

No Complaints
I purchased this for my car after the dealer wanted over $100 to replace the Cabin filter. I looked at the cost of the part they were going to replace it with and saw it was around $35 and another $65 for labor. So I decided to save a lot of money and do this myself. After looking on Youtube and figured it wasn't hard at all, in fact the hardest thing is getting to and replacing the screws. I just had to remove the glove box and make sure I didn't damage the wiring. This part was a perfect fit for my car and like others have said, be sure to bang out the extra charcoal before installing. It took a few tries to get it in just right so I could close the panel door completely, but after getting everything just right I was able to get everything back to together. I'm not noticing any weird smells or dust in the car so I guess it must be working. I suppose this is one of the things that you will only know when its NOT working. So really no complaints here. If you don't want to pay exorbitant dealership costs to replace your cabin filter, then purchase it online and do it yourself (again youtube is your friend!).

The puppies popped right in. Was harder to gain access to the filter housing then it was to replace them. Will definitely buy again.
