🔥 Keep Your Cool with K5 PRO! 🔥
K5 PRO is a high-performance thermal paste designed to replace traditional thermal pads in various electronic devices. With a thermal conductivity greater than 5.3 W/m.K, it ensures superior heat dissipation, making it ideal for gaming laptops, consoles, and high-end graphics cards. Its non-electrically conductive formula and extreme temperature range (-90°C to 250°C) make it a reliable choice for any tech enthusiast. Plus, with no expiration date, you can stock up without worry!

Glad I tried it
I was nearly ready to give up on repasting and changing my laptops thermal pads. I'm not sure what happened, but the thermal pads I used where no the right size, despite installing the same sizes that were previously installed. Far from my first time so I think I may have somehow bent my laptops copper heatpipes and plates or a part of it. I had tried replacing the pads and paste but couldn't get results near what the laptop achieved when it was delivered to me a year ago. However, after changing to this goop, my temps reached new lows. Alienware m17 with AMD 6900hx and 3070ti, idles at 29c gpu and 38c cpu. CinebenchR23 score of 13.5k and I'm restricting the temps to 85C and running a slight overclock. Much better than how it came to me from Dell originally. Glad I took the chance cause I was about to just blow a lot of money on a new laptop.

Seems like normal K5, but I don't appreciate deceptive marketing practices. (updated)
Granted, I know we're buying this by weight, that doesn't make this acceptable. It's wasteful and anti-consumer.Update: After talking to the owner, it was explained that they use cosmetics containers as they are better for shipping than the single walled containers and more readily available. I'm still not a fan, but it's more understandable. So I've updated the review to the 5 stars I normally give K5 PRO as a product. However, I feel compelled to leave my reason for the original 3 stars.

Its not for high temp application
There are many thermal puttys on the market right now with Upsiren probably being the best and most mainstream. I have used a smaller jar of K5 Pro and then I bought this 110g jar and its good for specific applications. But it is not thermally conductive enough to fully replace VRAM pads on GPUs like most other puttys in the 10+watt/mK range. It is also very thing and almost like a grease which is good for very squeezable sizes. In a pinch if you needed a .5mm pad and this is all you had you could probably get by but it will NOT outperform pads. However with that being said I have used quite a bit of this on the backsides of GPU under the backplates, used it on VRAM with copper shims and used it in a pinch on a RTX 3080 as direct VRAM pad replacements and it didnt explode.

Started melting/dripping a clear greasy fluid all over my computer.
So I first started using this when I repasted my graphics card and it seemed to work great. So great in fact that I then decided to use it on my motherboard vrms as well. Well after about 3-4 months I noticed a clear liquid under my graphics card. Come to find out this grease producing a clear liquid that was now all over my graphics card and motherboard. I had to take everything a part and give both a bath in 99.9% IPA and even then I couldn't get all this stuff off. My motherboard still has a stain going down the center of it. I ended up just switching back to thermal pads. I would highly recommend against this product!!

Good stuff
Good stuff for lower temp chips. Not great for high end GPUs or the like. Messy but cleans up with Isoprpyl and a little elbow grease. Takes the guess work out of thermalpad sizing for a lot of situations. Cools decently.

Not a performance product.
I decided to try this stuff instead of thermal pads on my 3080 after a certain tech YouTuber gave this product a good review. My vram temps increased 12c (from 96c to 110c). I decided to try it again with even more k5 in case I hadn’t used enough. While the added putty did help reduce the higher temps to 108c, that’s still a 10c increase in temp. All pads I replaced with this putty were 3mm or less. After an excruciating cleanup, I removed the thermal putty and replaced it with gelid gp extreme pads. My vram temp is now down to 90c.I can see this product being convenient. It’s definitely better than nothing, and it’s easier and faster to apply than thermal pads. It’s also cheaper than performance thermal pads.Edit: the company is trying to call me out on Reddit for “not using enough”, so I’m taking a star away and adding a second photo with some circling showing where the k5 pro was expressing out from under the heatsink, indicating that I did indeed use enough to make 100% contact with the vram.

Worse Temps on 3090
I typically do not write Amazon reviews. I bought this product from a review on YouTube. I caked this stuff on thinking it was better value compared to all the thermal pads I would buy. The temps got worse, and I would not recommend this to anyone.

Worse than thermal pads by a lot. Dont buy this.
Bought this after a review from a certain youtuber and they must have recieved another product than me. Thermal temps increased and this product does not even get close to three year old bad thermal pads. Card is thermal throttling even after second disassembly and a double check on the coverage. No pads were thicker the the 3mm stated in the product desctiption.I say one thing. Buy proper thermal pads and do not try to take this shortcut. It sounded too good to be true and it clearly was.
