The World Jewelry Center 14k REAL Yellow/White/Rose Gold Solid 2mm, 1.7mm, 1.5mm, 1.2mm Flat Open wheat Chain Necklace with Lobster Claw Clasp

I ordered this on June 1 and it was delivered the morning of June 2 -- and I'm wearing it now! This is a beautiful chain to hold my small diamond pendant. The 1.5mm chain seems pretty thin and delicate, so I'm not sure I'd go much lighter unless you are looking for something whisper-thin and barely there. The chain itself is sparkly and it seems strong, so I expect it will hold up well. If I could change anything, I would make the lobster claw clasp larger. It is very tiny and it was somewhat difficult for me to manipulate. The clasp might be a challenge for older fingers or those who don't have assistance. Otherwise, this is just what I was looking for as an everyday necklace for my small pendant.

Great length and thickness for every day wear to go with anything. Needs cleaning over time I had it for many years.

I haven’t had my chain but about a week, but I also haven’t taken it off since I put it on. Based on this, the sturdiness seems to be good. It is a very pretty chain. I wear a small diamond cross on my chain and it looks very nice. I noticed one comment said that their chain did not come with the lobster clasp but mine did. The lobster clasp is very small so it’s a bit of a challenge to take on and off for my big hands. For the price, it is good quality and a great buy.

UPDATE: Because I was so happy with the first chain I purchased, I've now bought a second one in yellow gold, to hang my gold charms. One very important PLUS for me is that both of these pendants/charms used to constantly spin, or turn on their old, thin chains. They would always end up hanging backwards, which drove me crazy. With this chain, both of these pendants now always face forward as they should, no matter how much I swing my neck around. YAY! I saw mixed reviews for this chain (mostly very good) and thought I'd share my opinion/experience. I'm very happy with it. I had bought this rose gold pendant, that came with the flimsiest, thinnest, too-short (16") chain, that hung too high on my throat. I wanted a nicer chain, in 18" length (which hangs just above most necklines I wear). A couple people thought this chain is too thin/flimsy. I disagree! In my opinion, when wearing a chain ALONE, you may want a heavy chain, but with a pendant , the pendant should be the STAR of the show. The chain should be substantial enough to look 'nice' against your neck, and hold the pendant securely, but should let the pendant/stone stand out, not overpower it. I think I learned this as I got older ;) It looks very pretty, simple and elegant, but not 'plain', and has a bit of sparkle. The clasp is not heavy-duty, but is pretty standard to almost every other chain I've ever had, and I feel it's secure. Get it - you will probably be very happy with it, especially for the price, which I thought was very reasonable. I tried to take closeup photos showing the true color, and link style. Hope this helps you decide!

I bought the white gold 24" 1.5 mm chain and it is beautiful. I love it. I have never owned a wheat style link necklace before, and it is so sparkly and pretty. It is a bit lightweight, but fits my lightweight pendant perfectly.

This is seriously the 4th product review I have ever done and I’m doing this to save someone else from my mistake. It looks like it came out of a quarter machine. Dental floss thin and so horribly constructed!! My goodness! It’s unfortunate that it was a Christmas gift for my teenager that will now have to be returned immediately. The pretty suede black box was the highlight of the package. Now here’s the worst part…. I test all jewelry for authenticity and it’s not even solid gold. lol… I have no idea how this is even legal to sell as real gold. SUCH A JOKE and they should be arrested for fraud!! If I could do 0 stars I would but it’s making chose at least one.

The chain itself was lovely, sparkled very nicely. But for two things I would have kept it: 1, too short and 2. absolutely could NOT get it to clasp - just too tiny for me to hold. I really wish it could have worked for me. (I bought a 24" the I could fasten the claw clasp and slip it over my head).

With the price of gold so high. This chain is just right for my heavy cross. Not cheap dainty chain but 2 mm width just fine.
