Perfect Reverb, Combo if Just Starting Out
The reverb on this is phenomenal. It’s three times better than my Marshall DSL 100 amp head with a Marshall 4x12 cab. I have this thing running through the same cab. The gain on the Orange sounds like a fuzz pedal with mids cut. You can tell a slight difference between a clean channel on the Marshall tube versus this, but they shine in their own ways. I’m not taking anything away from this beast. I love it! You could probably get the same tones messing around with some pedals through a Marshall’s clean setting - maybe one of those high end amp and cab simulators paired with an FRFR. However, pushing a real amp through speakers is just different than a simulation no matter how hard they try. In my opinion, a real high end amp will always sound better and feel more authentic than the simulations they have out there. If you already have a cab then definitely go for this, but if you’re just starting out, I would suggest buying an Orange combo (or whatever brand you like) first (highest wattage on a combo will always sound best at any volume imo!) then later on if you decide you’re serious about it, start stacking amp heads and cabs 🙂. Combos are more portable too.

Amazing amp head!
I love orange amps and have been playing for a couple years now using their small combo amp. I’ve always wanted to upgrade to something larger but was always afraid of being too loud when I need to be quiet in an apartment setting. This amp allows me to play loud when I need to with the 100watt power but also play at lower volume at home without losing quality in tone. The build quality is very nice and has no issues upon opening the box and isn't too heavy as well for its size and paired it with my black orange cab.

Sounds great, even for tube purists.
I’ve played guitar for close to three decades and am embarrassed to say that up until the past 2 years’ish, I was SO basic with my setup. Guitar>pedals>combo amp. All mono. Having a head unit just seemed to offer so much more versatility and after reading the reviews and doing the research went with this and I can now say with certainty, that (at least for me) this is the best amp head in the price range by miles. It sounds as good, if not better (to my ear) as amps that cost 2, 3, 4 times as much. If you’re looking for a guitar amp head within this budget, look no further. You found it. Especially if you like simplicity. There are NOT a million knobs to toggle around with….. which, as long as I get the sound(s) I want, I MUCH prefer. My new favorite amp, right here.

Explosive sounds.
This is an amazing amp head, however I’ve given it one star because it was delivered with the desiccant pouches completely popped and all the little pieces were inside the amplifier, which was an absolute pain to clean out without damaging the circuitboards and wiring. Very upsetting.

It does what an amp should do well enough
My favorite aspect re this amp is that it’s a looker. Guitars typically are offered in varieties of colors, but amps seldom are, for some weird reason. I bought this on the strength of seeing PubeTube demos of it, claiming it sounds exactly like tubes. But that one bald British hippy who is especially enthused about it could probably plug a Strat into a urinal and it would sound like a tube amp; he’s a technically robot-perfect player. I’m lucky if I can play “Blitzkrieg Bop” all the way through without getting lost. Anyway, this amp sounds as solid state as my B-52 amp head, but a little looser around the edges. And this is a good solid state amp. The price is right, and I’d recommend it. However, if you’re expecting it to sound like a Fender Hot Rod series, you’ve got Another. Thing. Coming.

Excellent amp
Don't let the simplistic control panel fool you; this is a very versatile amp. Clean channel goes from pristine to just on the edge of breakup with tons of headroom. Dirty channel can do everything from bluesy breakup to classic rock crunch to beefy alt-rock distortion. Kick it in the teeth with a Tube Screamer and you get some gnarly metal tones. This thing sings and screams when you want it to. It takes boost pedals very well, the fx loop is clean, and it responds pretty well to the volume pot and pick attack. Lots of bang for the buck with this head. UPDATE: So Ive been playing this for a few months now and I'm very happy with it. I've used several different guitars, cabinets, boost pedals, pickups, etc, and this head always delivers great tones. Never mind "for the price" or "for solid state," this is straight up just a great amp.

It has dual outputs so it works with my 4x12 speaker cabinet
A very good Amplifier. Looks good, the size is perfect. I am still experimenting with the features. Every day I adjust things like the distortion. For me it was a good value.

Loud and still sounds awesome
I have a Marshall origin 50watt combo, and I love it. But when I got the Orange 100watt super crush head, it literally blew my mind. No waiting for tubes to warm up, easy to find your tone, and as everyone says, takes pedals great. So before you throw out thousands of dollars to sound good, you should really consider the Orange super crush 100watt. You won't be disappointed

No issue to report even after few years of ownership. Good backup solution for the lamp version.

The rumours are true. The Super Crush 100 is a fantastic amplifier! It is responsive, easy to dial-in and does have a realistic, tube-like tone quality. It is solidly built, handsome and weighs only about 25lbs (bonus ;) At this price point I highly recommend checking this monster out. Lots of volume and presence. It has no trouble cutting through the mix with my band!

Absolutely incredible amp. Takes pedals flawlessly. The FX loop works great. DI out is amazing. There is no better amp for this price on the market.
