Top Race Metal Construction Diecast Dump Truck and Backhoe Loader Tractor Toy Set of 2 - Realistic Collectible Models for Display or Play, 1:50 Scale

For my grandson but I'm tempted to play with them myself!

I order this set along with another of the same make but with different models for my five year old grandson but when I opened them and saw the quality and detail I decided to keep them myself for display with my other die-cast vehicles. It sounds a bit selfish I know but these are just much too nice to be used as toys, lol. Each of the vehicles in these sets are built using all metal parts and have a very good weight to them, obviously the tyres and glass parts are not metal but everything that should be, is. The moving parts actually do operate much like the real thing would and the detail thats been put into these miniatures is exceptional. The scale of these looks to be a true 1:50 and makes for a great display and could even become a collectable at some point in the future. This set comes with two vehicles, a dump truck and a construction tractor. The truck has a working tilt back with authentic looking hydraulics and the tractor has a working grab lift and a bucket scoop, if thats what they are called, lol, please forgive my ignorance on the names of construction tools. Both vehicles are finished in a recognisable smooth and bright gloss yellow with black ancillaries keeping them in line with what is quickly seen as construction. These truly are the best quality models that I have seen for many years and makes such a change from the usual plastic that most seem to be now. As a child in the 1960's, all of my toy cars and trucks were made from metal and if I hadn't given them away I'm sure that they would still be working now unlike the plastic versions that break as soon as they are looked at, lol. A superb choice for display or for collectors. Recommended.

This is an impressive die-cast set of construction vehicles with moving parts , they come in a nice box , well presented and would make a great gift for people of all ages. Whether playing with these as a toy or having them on display , they look great , really impressive detail , they really do look like real shrunken construction vehicles. Two vehicles in the pack with nice paint work and excellent detail , they feel heavy and robust with fully moving durable rubber wheels. They almost look too nice to play with as a toy , you want to put them on display, bit saying that, children will love this set, and if looked after these heavy duty vehicles should bring years of fun and joy. They are not cheap at over £30 but the detail and work that's gone into creating them will boost the price , they are solid, the wheels feel really well made too and shouldn't fall off easily like some cheap die cast toys. I really like this set it looks very impressive with amazing detail and movement. They look exactly like the real deal on a smaller scale.

I have had Top Race models in the past and have always been impressed with the quality of the modes and the intricate design work they put into each model. So to be clear I did not buy these for toys but to be models and be proudly displayed alongside some of the others and they look absolutely wonderful as expected. They come in a lovely box which you can use to display them in, we have a clear film that we wrap around the box and this enables them to be dust free displays and due to the amount of detail on these 1:50 scale models you are momentarily fooled by their size. I know that £35 is going to seem expensive for what are essentially toys but these are so well made that giving them to children to play with seems almost like a crime as the love and care that has gone into their creation demands eyes to look and hands that will not touch too heavily but with reverence. A delightful gift for model fans and a superbly detailed gift for children if you absolutely must :) .

This is a lovely pair of construction vehicles, consisting of a dump truck and a digger/loader type tractor unit. These are made of solid diecast metal making them nice and weighty as well as durable. Of course this is nothing new many companies make such toys, but these are a step above normal toys. These are high quality, detailed scale models, these are scaled at 1/50th which is pretty much in between the normal hot wheels type size of 1/64 and the typical next size up of 1/43 which can be the preferred scale of some collectors. However I personally think that 1/50 is a perfect scale for these models as otherwise they would be quite big and take up a lot of display space. Yet at the same time even though a smaller scale they are so highly detailed that this does not detract from the models in any way. The final nice touch is the case they are supplied in, this could be used as a nice way to display the models in a cabinet as well as providing exceptionally good protection for the models. At the price they are pretty good value.

This diecast metal dump truck and tractor are supplied in a very smart presentation box. Both 1:50 scale models look great and appear to me to be quite accurate replicas of the real thing. Both vehicles have moving parts and are a good size for children to hold, making them perfect for playing with. Each vehicle is sturdy, well-made and beautifully finished apart from the plastic mirrors, which look and feel quite flimsy. I think these mirrors could break and fall off with a lot of heavy outdoors play and I have found that the paintwork scratches off quite easily as well. Despite this, both vehicles are definitely built to last and I have no doubt that the main diecast metal and rubber tyres will withstand a lot of hard playing. This truck and tractor may be of interest to collectors of construction vehicles as they will definitely display well. The current price of £34.99 seems quite high for a couple of toys, but I appreciate the workmanship in both the dump truck and the tractor and consider them to be a fair price based on the excellent detail and top quality finish on each model.
