My husband, daughter, and I used these when we climbed the Half Dome cables. To each harness we attached two 24” slings using luggage tag loops, and then attached a quick draw to each sling (removing one caribiner and using a luggage tag loop through the quick draw strap). This set-up was affordable, relatively lightweight, easy to use, and a confidence booster. I like that these harnesses are highly adjustable, so can be used by different family members. The harness has a handy loop to attach the caribiner to when you aren’t climbing. The straps are a little slippery, especially over leggings, but stayed put when tightened up.

Looking for a reliable and comfortable climbing harness? Look no further than the HandAcc Climbing Belts! These harnesses impressed me with their focus on safety, user comfort, and gym acceptance. Safety First: The most important aspect of any climbing gear is safety. The HandAcc belts are CE certified, meaning they meet European safety standards for climbing equipment. This instills confidence that the harness can hold up during a fall. Additionally, the product description mentions a high weight limit and a reinforced tie-in point, further emphasizing its safety features. Comfort Matters: Climbing shouldn't have to be uncomfortable. The HandAcc belts feature padded waist and leg straps, which distribute weight evenly and make for a more enjoyable climbing experience, especially during extended use. Gym-Friendly: A major perk of these harnesses is that they seem to be widely accepted at climbing gyms. This is important because some gyms have restrictions on the type of equipment you can use. Finding a harness that adheres to gym safety regulations saves you the hassle of renting one. A Minor Note: While I haven't personally experienced any issues, there are some concerns about the accessory loop. The concern is that if you are in a hurry you might clip into the accessory look and it is not rated to support the climber's weight. It might be a good idea to check its sturdiness and how it functions for your specific needs before relying on it heavily. Overall: Considering the focus on safety, comfort, and gym-friendliness, the HandAcc Climbing Belts are a great choice for both beginners and experienced climbers. Just keep a mindful eye on the accessory loop if that functionality is important to you. With that minor caveat, these harnesses get a high recommendation!

Great harness for the price. I've bought 3 of these over the years, all are still in good condition and no big issues. Rated high enough for rock climbing (what I've used it for) and feels sturdy as well. This works great for toprope climbing, gym climbing and rappelling. I've taken literally 100's of falls across the 3 I own, had people ranging from 45-50kg to 90kg use these, and they never got damaged or felt unsafe. As long as you wear it correctly (like with any harness) this will 100% do the job. PROS - Cheap - Reliable - High safety rating - Simple to use - Wide range of adjustability - Accessory loop - Fit is relatively comfortable to wear and fall on CONS - Tightening it down is a bit tough sometimes, the straps have a lot of friction compared to a typical climbing harness. I haven't really had a problem with it, but a couple relatives found it frustrating. - With no padding it isn't the most comfortable to hang on for extended periods. (Though, the straps are wide enough that it's not significantly worse than my $65, padded harness. Just something to note if you plan on literally hanging around for >30 minutes) - With only 1, horizontal loop to clip into, this creates 2 issues: Belaying it can be a bit annoying as it orientates off to the side. However, this can be remedied by using 2 carabiners or extending the belay device out with a sling. No redundant point of attachment. Not that it feels like it needs it (many climbers don't do this anyway), but you'd need a sling to put around the waist strap if you wanted redundancy in that regard. - The simplicity of this harness makes it great for simple tasks (like rappelling) and great for newcomers who have never worn a harness. While this can be a plus, it also can be annoying if you're looking for something with all the bells and whistles. (More accessory loops, belay loop, padding, etc...)
