**Changed from four stars to one, bit retention failed after minimal use, lost a small tension ring that engages the lock due to the design allowing it to come free. Similarly designed heads on impact drivers have lasted upwards of five years so the failure is disappointing. Replaced with a cheap one at half the cost thats available locally. Perfect for adapting 1/2" impact drivers, it has a slightly shorter overall length than cheaper ones I've used and has less wobble. There is play or wobble built into any socket drive tool but this one is minimal which makes driving screws straight easier. This unit also will not hold or close completely on some longer (1.5") bits, so they fall out, I've only tried Makita bits. The small bits designed for a magnetic bit adapter work fine, which are my preference for length and add a generic bit adapter if I need to reach a little farther. The generic bit holder I have stays in securely.
